My pain in the ass was the first horse you get on the mountain. I named him āExpendable Gregā - because he was the horse I was least concerned to lose.
I used him throughout the game, especially on dangerous missions. Greg tried to murder me on many an occassion and abandoned me at every turn.
Still over time I upgraded his name to āGregā and then āGlorious Gregā in his ultimate form.
Greg was the first stubborn horse my Arthur had in the game and he was also the horse that came with me in the last mission. Greg is special to me - as temperamental as his loyalties were.

My beautiful girl was Charlie. She was the first, cheapest horse you could get from the stables in Valentine. I bought her and thought, "yeah, I'll ride with her until I save up for a 'better one'". Throughout that whole damn game, I never rode another horse. She was a small, gold-y-coloured Morgan and it was such an intense pain in that last mission, even though I could see it coming. I put more time and effort into keeping her healthy and happy than I did myself. I maxed out the bonding and stamina within my first few hours and never let her die even once, even with her crashing into every fifth rock or tree. I know she wasn't real, but damn, I miss her so much. ā¤
Sorry for the spiel; I guess that this was the catharsis that I needed.
Also... "Charlie Horse": I didn't plan on that, I just really liked the name and thought she looked like a Charlie. š¬
