In case it isnât clear, that is literally the last bone of a catâs toes attached to those claws. If you thought only the claw was being removed during declaw surgery, you are unfortunately mistaken. Itâs an amputation.
Get claw caps instead! They stay on pretty well and your cat can walk around normally. You can take them off whenever you want. This is great for house cats. They donât need their claws for defense but they need them to walk the way we need toes. This keeps them from scratching you or furniture and keeps them happy and healthy. Itâs a win for everyone. Plus your cat will look like it got a kitty manicure.

The second cat my family ever owned was declawed, and she suffered GREATLY from arthritis in her last few years. She could barely get into her own litterbox and she often went on the carpet because of this. She died in my momâs arms, obviously in pain.

Please dont use claw caps on cats. Claw caps are meant for claws that are out 24/7; like a dogs claws. Cats are not like dogsâŚ. again.
Cat claws retract. And like some of the comments on this very post say, on cats they have to be superglued on, because cats will rip them off. And trying to remove them after can literally just rip their nail off anyways. Using claw caps on retractable clawed animals can cause serious damage, discomfort, and infection, which can then lead toâŚ. THE AMPUTATION YOU WERE TRYING TO AVOID!!!
People need to do some research before blurting out an unresearched âsolutionâ that causes just as much damage. So many people have reblogged the claw cap version and listen to it without question and thatâs REALLY. REALLY. BAD.
Hereâs a real solution; either clip their nails manually (google how itâs easy) or just DONT. GET. A. CAT.

So I was listening to âNo One Mourns the Wickedâ and it just hit me that Glinda has to be absolutely devastated during that number because the best friend she has ever had has just died, as far as she knows, but she promised Elphie that she wouldnât try to clear Elphieâs name so Glinda just has to stand there and listen to all of these people celebrate the fact that her best friend is dead and I am not okay
one of the weirdest things about the Wicked musical is that itâs so fucking tragic, but it disguises itself as this happy, inspiring, family-fun show
Glinda is being cheesy and charming in the opening number, but yeah, sheâs devastated. when she starts telling the story of Elphabaâs life? itâs so sad. but they hold the baby up and people chuckle because itâs this weird looking green doll
yeah Defying Gravity is this huge inspirational ballad but their goodbye in the middle and Glindaâs last âi hope youâre happyâ as one of the last lines of the act is just? so painful?
The Wizard and I has so much irony and foreshadowing that itâs easy to forget how eager and devoted Elphaba was, and how she never really had a chance. Thank Goodness is one of the most heartbreaking songs Iâve ever heard, but Glindaâs moment of pain and vulnerability is sung to herself, immediately covered by a big smile and a celebration
âIâve had so many friends, but only one that matteredâ gets the audience laughing, and you donât always feel the full weight of it. I mean, Glindaâs entire character is tragedy wrapped up in a pretty smile.
basically if you read between the lines or look at this show past face value in any way at all, itâs absolutely heartbreaking and donât worry friend iâm not okay either
Thereâs a moment in No One Mourns the Wicked when Glinda sings (in echo of the rejoicing ensemble) âshe died aloneâ and it is just so mournful and haunting

An aspect of gun control that other countries practice that doesnât come up in America a lot is ammunition control. In Japan, if youâre one of the privileged few allowed to own a gun (and only shotguns and rifles are legal), you have to return all your spent cartridges if you want to buy any more. In Israel, after youâve purchased the one gun youâre allowed to own, youâre given a box of 50 bullets, and thatâs it. You canât buy any ammunition anywhere, thatâs your lifetime supply, although a shooting range will provide you with more, but only for use at that range. Even in countries with more relaxed gun control laws, like Switzerland and Serbia, buying ammunition requires all the same paperwork as buying a gun (mental health records, criminal records, etc) and you can only buy ammo for the gun you own. Gun control advocates in the US should consider placing an emphasis on ammunition control in addition to everything else.

WHY IS THIS SO FUNNY
I want to write an alternative version of Romeo and Juliet where instead of being a little ponce and trying to work things out for himself, Romeo asks his smarter friends what to do about the whole thing and Benvolio and Mercutio come up with the worldâs greatest plan:
Marriage of convenience between Juliet and Mercutio.
Think about it.
Julietâs parents want her to marry into the Princeâs family. Mercutio is a good compromise between no marriage and Paris.
Mercutio probably wonât get his inheritance if he keeps being HELLA FUCKING GAY ALL OVER THE PLACE so a beard is only a benefit to him.
They would probably get along great rolling their eyes at how adorably stupid Romeo is.
Romeo and Benvolio could get a âbachelor padâ right next to Juliet and Mercutioâs house. Every night, Romeo and Mercutio high five as they hop the fence to go bang their one true love.
The second half of the play is just all of them trying to keep up the charade and being âTHIS CLOSEâ to getting caught all the time. But everything ends nicely because true love conquers all.
Everybody wins. Nobody dies.
