Just think: Iran defeated TWO Nuclear Armed Powers - the US and its regional attack dog Israel, without even the help of nuclear weapons, and removed 13 US military bases out of the region on top of that!

Little Marco says Operation Epic Fury met its objectives. The only way that can be true is if the American objective was for Iran to win this ill-begotten war hands down and thoroughly humiliate the US on a global stage.

There is no regime change; no change whatsoever on the so-called nuclear deal; zero qualitative or quantitative limitation on Iranian weapons production; Iran controls who goes through the Strait of Hormuz which it didn’t before; Iran and it’s allies are better integrated and stronger as an Axis of Resistance than before Feb 7; NATO and other US vassal states are shrinking back; the US Dollar’s stranglehold on the global energy economy is fatally diminished; while the Iranian government and the Iranian people are more United than ever.

Now imagine where Iranian people would be if they had fallen for the usual IdPol atrocity propaganda of the Great Satan and worked *against* their government as women, lgbt, or religious or ethnic minorities - millions would be suffering or dead under a head chopping or financially suicidal US stooge like all the others who were foolish enough to allow imperial separatist strategies to undermine their collective sovereignty. Anti-imperialism is job number one.

But because of american cultural imperialism, most queer people in Aotearoa don’t even know our own queer history. Carmen Rupe, Ngahuia Te Awekotuku, the Dorian Society, Gillian Laundon, Georgina Beyer, and the Wolfenden Association are some of our queer history. We should know their names! we should know what they did for us! but because of the power of the american imperial machine, we don’t.

our national pride month should be july, the month that the Homosexual Law Reform Act passed in 1986. our two largest cities hold their pride festivals in february and march, respectively. american queer history has very little (or nothing, depending on who you ask) to do with our queer history. anecdotally, from my own queries, queer youth in aotearoa know more about american queer history than our own.

apparently the murder happened in 2023 after doing some research but the murderer has been found not guilty.
