I've been on T since august 2022 and had top surgery in december 2024. I may describe myself as a non-binary trans man though the way I perform my identity makes it a bit hard for me to put into one label. most of the time I just say I'm queer

if you are waiting on a comm from me i'm trying my best it's always incredibly hot here (at least 35+ degrees w/o ac) and the adhd medication i'm taking is draining me like i owe it money . thank you for the attention
dont get me wrong im glad that there are non trans men talking about transandrophobia but i wish they would say "trans men are oppressed" instead of "i know trans women are a highly oppressed class, but trans men struggle too". like im glad youre talking about it at all but when you say "trans women are oppressed" (true!) and "but trans men also have problems" (technically true but the phrasing is kind of dismissive of the actual oppression that we experience) it just comes off as you understand that trans women are oppressed but "I GUESS trans men also struggle a bit 🙄 im not gonna actually talk about their specific struggles or use the "o word" or anything but they do have problems!"
It’s hard for me as a trans man not to continually reference and validate trans women’s oppression when writing about my own experiences and those of other transmascs because this is the norm in the community.
Simply not mentioning trans women (when the conversation is explicitly about someone else) can be seen as transmisogynistic. I’m someone who is trying to approach this diplomatically, who genuinely wants to make sure I’m not putting down the trans women in my life. At this point I’m resigned to the way that I’m going to have to keep centering someone else in order to reassure and reach the broader community when talking about what I face.
But we need to be comfortable with talking about the problems that trans men and mascs face as if they are worthy of discussion on their own.
being ace writing an allo character is a funny task because you look at them and think "you can't have sex as one of your relationship priorities that's so lame" and just accept that most irl allo people are like this????? insane to me

I'm old enough to remember GamerGate and the rise of "Anti-SJW" slop (yes, I know it was only 10 years ago). You know who the cliché "cringe SJW feminist" was? What they painted women and queer people who fought for their rights as, in order to ridicule and silence them?
Pixie cuts. Body hair. Either buff or fat. Violent. No makeup. Deep voice. Small breasts. Usually lesbian. Either a butch cis woman, a trans man, or a trans woman with exaggerated "manly" features like a beard or a cartoonishly pornographic bulge.
But sure, the Patriarchy always rewards masculinity no matter what. Keep believing that.
Actually you SHOULD make problematic content. You SHOULD explore dark or taboo topics. You SHOULD have a space where you can cope with your traumas or explore sensitive topics in a way that doesn't hurt anyone.
Also you should make problematic content for funsies. You don't need to have had trauma or need to be coping in order to explore dark creativity. You can just be a human who wants to explore dark and taboo topics because you want to. That's completely normal, btw.
Every single person on this planet thinks about dark and taboo things. It's literally the most normal thing in the world.
imagine if people actually took romantic consent seriously. wouldn't it be fucking awesome. i know they never will, but just. take a moment and imagine it with me
no more "just give them a chance, maybe you'll end up liking them!", no more "if you're going to reject someone, at least apologize to them!", no more shaming people for breaking up/divorcing, no more demonizing people for rejecting other peoples' romantic advances, no more shoving romance in romance repulsed peoples' face on purpose to provoke us, no more "i know we agreed to just be friends with benefits, but i thought you were going to fall in love with me eventually!", no more "i can fix them" when the only thing "wrong" with them is that they want to fuck without dating.
A friend I used to hang out with every week once confessed his feelings for me, which I didn't reciprocate. I wanted to stay friends, didn't see why we couldn't, we had been friends the whole time without any romance, why did that have to change? but he decided to stop hanging out with me.
I was heartbroken and felt tossed aside. I didn't understand why our friendship wasn't worth anything to him if he couldn't have me romantically or sexually. I felt betrayed and dehumanised, like I didn't matter to him as a person but only as a romantic prospect.
When I told other friends about it, to my surprise they all sided with him. "He is heartbroken, it's hard to get rejected" even my THERAPIST said this. It's not like I didn't empathize with him, but wasn't I rejected too? No one else could see that but me, they placed me as some sort of villain that had power over him in that situation, when all I did was set a boundary between friendship and romance. All I did was not consent to the terms he wanted for our relationship, I rejected them, my terms were different and he rejected those.
I've had my heart broken by friends over and over and it hurt the same, if not more, than any romantic heartbreak. Why is friendship undervalued next to romantic feelings?
To be honest, to this day I'm still pissed that no one sided with me on this. There's so much unraveling that needs to get done around how we view different relationships in our lives, and I feel like most people can't even scratch the surface when it comes to this questioning.
i desperately need people to stop avoiding what this post is actually about. stop derailing and trying to make it be about something else instead.
THIS POST IS ABOUT ROMANTIC CONSENT.
even if the person in question didn't want to fuck them, even if he just wanted a wholesome, purely romantic, nothing sexual at all relationship, it would STILL be fucked up to BLAME someone for rejecting that.
similarly, if someone really wanted to just fuck, but they were honest and clear about that, and handled rejection gracefully, there would be literally no issue with that.
when will you people understand what i thought i made incredibly fucking clear in the original post. the problem is not, and never was, the presence of potential sexual attraction. the problem is, and always has been, ignoring ROMANTIC CONSENT.
#people think that relationships are made of two parts#one part being ~Love~ (when it is Real it is perfect and pure and incapable of harm)#and Lust (dangerous and only ever potentially safe when tamed by a high amount of Real Love)#and thus they can only imagine that harm done in or relating to a relationship#is because of a lack of Real (romantic) Love + the presence of Lust#also i say relationship instead of just romantic relationship#because i dont think allo society is actually that good at distinguishing between types of relationships#they don't really see friendships between people who could potentially date as its own form of relationship#as much as a liminal space waiting room between being strangers and being romantic#anyways it's so fucking annoying how insistently people think that romance is only harmful because either#the person doesn't Really Love You or they ONLY want to fuck you (inherently a shallow thing to want as well!)#amatonormativity has such a grip people genuinely struggle to imagine that genuine feelings of romantic love#can be anything other than inherently good and beneficial#op you are NOT overreacting people just don't fucking understand what it's like being aroallo#and they don't give us nearly as much grace as we deserve when we get frustrated with this shit

the youtube notification of ''ooohh your video isn't starting up smoothly???? turn off your ad blocker you cunt <3'' is so pathetic to me bc it takes five seconds max. you think i can't wait five seconds? you think i need to give you money because five seconds is too long? i pity your wife.
i saw your post talking about how many trans women were role models to you and treated you well coming into the community... and I honestly cried...
i'm transfem and its the same with a lot of trans men in my life and it's wracking me with guilt that other trans women can say such hateful things, and your post reminded me that this clearly isn't normal. love your radiant soul <3
it makes me really happy to see these kinds of messages among all the shitty anons .... seriously thank you
it's crazy how different queer spaces are irl compared to online. I've rarely had bad interactions with transfems irl even talking about serious matters of intersectional feminism, but the internet really tends to be a perfect breeding ground for hate and it's especially funny that I get called a transmisogynyst for speaking up against transandrophobia when the people who told me "don't erase your own oppression because that allows society to oppress you more with no consequences" were 50+ y/o trans women who absolutely fucking love me and always told me I am lovely to discuss with. they were the ones who taught me how it works and I'll never forget it or stop upholding it.
Excuse the sudden message. I’ve been attempting to reach you, and there might be a technical issue on my side or yours. There’s something I need to discuss privately that I can’t put in a public message. Would you DM me?

"Women are more oppressed then men, it's basic feminism!"
Basic feminism doesn't account for the men who have uteruses. A large part of women's oppression is about their uteri and how it supposedly makes them inferior to men.
No that doesn't mean women who don't have uteruses aren't oppressed by misogyny (having a uterus as a women is a damned if you do damned if you don't situation) but reproductive rights have always been a large part of feminism.
That's why we don't need basic feminism, we need intersectional feminism that takes into account men who have uteruses and women who don't and acknowledges the material conditions of both groups.
It's been said before and I'll say it again
"Basic feminism" is just "basic biology" all over again.
