Look I don’t care if the new Lion King movie is good or not, I mean it doesn’t look bad, but im so sick of the nostalgia card being played. These were children’s movies that became classics because they were beautiful, thoughtful stories that werent just cash-grabs. They were OUR classics. That doesn’t mean that they were only meant for millenials- they were timeless. They were to be enjoyed by all ages for every generation to come. But now, disney just wants to remake those movies or churn out sequels because they know itll rake in millenial dollars. Kids today don’t have many classics of their own, theyre just being fed repainted versions of ours and it’s honestly so disheartening.
