okay alright okay it’s still 35°c and i’m not really coping anymore but. the playlist is really coming along. the first chapter of new undermoss is finished fr this time. i drew an a5 page of a sea scene yesterday and it looks quite nice 👍🏻 have been eating ice lollies for most of my meals
been working on a playlist for undermoss but im not sure if its like. a bit cursed sounding. i just feel like undermoss has a v specific vibe and my music taste is also v specific and im having a hard time pinning things down

would you consider making an art book? the idea of leafing pages of a hard cover book full of your illustrations sounds really soothing. or maybe a design/art book dedicated to the process behind how undermoss was pulled together, kind of like the ghibli studio books (with the character designs and ideas to revisit etc)
the new undermoss stuff i’m working on at the moment is a bit like that- a5, will lay flat, full page illustrations, more experiments, ephemera. i want to include silly things like recipes and crosswords, collages maybe, just lots of additional undermoss feeling stuff without it all being completely narrative, if that makes sense? maybe articles or small essays that could exist in world. idk things like that
the process isn’t interesting honestly it’s just me staring at walls while trying to think, then redrawing the same line 8 times, adjusting the blend modes and tweaking all the colours for hours until they feel right
i’m excited about working bigger and pushing undermoss a bit further creatively so i hope you might like it
