Manuscript Summary: Seventeen, anxious, and chronically depressed, Jere Aquino just wants to make it to graduation. But his life (and the world) are turned upside down when unnatural earthquakes rock the planet—bringing magical forces into everyone’s lives and imbuing some people with powers. Now, Jere has to find the energy to get out of bed, help his best friend, Amina, with her new abilities, and keep both of them alive.
