It’s about SAFETY for EVERYONE (duh)
Today, I question what privileges have made me passive and complicit in viewing hate crimes as a “race” issue and not even considering it to be a COMMUNITY SAFETY issue.**
It’s a nervous-system buster for me as I type this... I’m ashamed and I’m PUMPED on that shame, because I know if I can allow it to work its truth through, it’s can be supportive and motivating of acquiring an integrating accountability into my body.
**And it is both. We don’t mute candid talk about RACE and we fix our focus firmly on our best paths reparations, regeneration, and total abolition.**
In case any organizers out there are getting itchy fingers and want to set up and start sending emails, here is a link to begin your own fundraiser for National Alliance (NAMI.org). Here’s the info:

THERE IS ALSO AN OPTION TO DONATE AN AMOUNT OF YOUR CHOOSING, if you are comfortable with that.
For those of us working with different financial and time perimeters, consider making 5-10 minutes each day to do a scan of your “emotional landscape.” Find time to let your mind wander deeply and breathe. Gently yet deliberately slow down in each action you take and word you speak, especially if you are white.
Don’t blame or shame, or jump to moralistic conclusions. Hey, do as I say, not as I do. (⊙﹏⊙)
This is heavy stuff. That is to put it almost inappropriately lightly. I want to wrap up this post and give you all a link to a page of choices of:
