We overcame and adapted to extreme, excruciating challenges and circumstances for over 300,000 years, thus evolving into highly intelligent and immensely complex beings. We are by all accounts miraculous on an astronomical level, we have yet to find any other complex intelligent life anywhere. Every other species of human died out except for us.

And then the completely made-up, unnatural incorporation of oppression (patriarchy, racism, etc) only stunted us a general whole.

It is becoming increasingly clear that more and more people seem to genuinely believe as long as arousal is had about something, or is within a sexual context, that thing can no longer be criticized or be indicative of someone's character or morals.

This, already, causes a major issue. If someone's sexual behavior cannot be scrutinized like any other emotion (like anger, for example) this means that if you discover the father of your child is in chatrooms made specifically for pedophiles and that he even sent a real, actual picture of your child to these other pedophiles, you will be dismissed as a hysterical prude.

(The idea that openly sexualizing children in of itself is immoral never comes up; the defense is always "but he didn't actually rape any children." The thought that sexualizing children and openly fantasizing about assaulting them with other pedophiles in of itself is immoral never crosses their minds.)

Furthermore, this means that the behavior said individual displayed is not understood as a massive warning to keep said person away from children, because remember; sexual feelings are now considered null and void of any indication of someone's character or morals.

This means the only way we can really respond to abuse is solely reactive. We cannot take any proactive measures against abuse, because apparently that would be prudish/puritanical/fascist.

We may only react to it after it occurs, and make no effort to address behavior (or broader cultural patterns) in an attempt to prevent it before something happens.
