Moved by heavy cogs and levers, slats of painted wood pushed up from the floor and shot out from the sides of the stage, a dwarven gate suddenly appearing in front of the characters, and a mountain rose above them. Bulbs set into the slats twinkled to life, the mountain gleaming with light.  Frerin gasped, eyes widening almost comically as he watched, and Thorin himself felt a thrill race up his spine at the sight. This really was the production of a lifetime.
