I'm sure nobody was clambering for this, since we already have the ultimate "Megaman" mashup, buuuuuuuuuut. Here it is as a drill beat. The flows of these two songs sounded too similar for me to not try it. I think Jay Eazy may have to get on a drill beat IRL, I'm pretty happy with how this sounds!

Every time this post comes around I’m too busy to tell this story so I’m gonna do it now: when I learned to scuba dive, there was a dude in my dive group named Dumbass Dave who was always being relentlessly roasted by his buddies because when they went to the Great Barrier Reef he brought a baggie of hard boiled egg down with him because he wanted to find a moray eel and feed it and pet it
Well he found a moray and attempted to hand feed it, and it snapped up the egg and bit the shit out of his right hand in the process and the dive had to be halted so the blood wouldn’t attract sharks. But was this enough punishment for Dumbass Dave? No it was not, because he had a Plan
Dumbass Dave’s plan turned out to be a chainmail glove. Where he obtained it has been lost to time, but he put it on his right, injured hand and down they went, whereupon Dave found himself another moray and tried to feed it some hardboiled egg
With his left hand
And yes it did bite the shit out of him and they did have to cancel the dive, again
So I guess the moral of that story is maybe eels aren’t bastards, maybe they just meet a lot of people like Dave
I reminded my scuba instructor of this story and he wanted me to amend the post to let everyone know that it was the same eel who bit Dumbass Dave both times

trans princess whose parents arrange her to be married to a foreign prince both to humiliate him and to punish her for refusing to hide and misgender herself for the rest of her life, so she’s sent away, terrified of what kind of rage and abuse she’ll be subjected to by her new husband once he sees her and realizes what’s happened.
but when she arrives and is presented before him, it turns out he’s thrilled. trans people are adored in this kingdom. her parents have accidentally done him an incredible honor in betrothing her to him, and suddenly, she goes from surviving in protest in her home to being showered in gifts and affection from her new husband-to-be.
As a person who is not only Am-pinoy, but loves history, (select areas) of Precolonial Philippines would have loved a trans princess to marry their prince - trans women with many indigenous Filipino groups were considered normal or even sacred and many became Asog/Babaylan/katalonan (important spiritual figures)
Like this story could potentially have happened, y’know
( fun fact! many historians say the Filipinos were genderless but there are 7000 islands and many many different indigenous groups with many information missing and destroyed - so working with what we have, we know many groups were not genderless but viewed gender different compared to today. Gender was important to groups like the Tagalog or the Visayan-but not based on “biology”. If you wanted to be a woman then you were seen as a woman and same with wanting to be a man. It was about embodying the energy of your perceived gender and not what genitals you were born with. Not all groups embodied this belief given diversity etc, but we have evidence of many indigenous groups from Luzon and a few from southern islands did not ascribe to gender like we have today until the Spanish set foot on the islands. And many indigenous groups around the world held similar beliefs on Tranness and third genders, many of that history and belief was hurt significantly by colonization!)
A few souces!
One of the most controversial, interesting, and popular subjects here at The Aswang Project is the discussion on articles about gender – par
(Cw for this ^: this page directly quotes old texts of Spanish missionaries and they do use the term hermaphrodite- be warned. But it’s a great text with great historical sources to back up the discussion on gaps missing given colonial invasion)

Is anyone else constantly bothered by the fact that all of a child's medical care is required to go through their parents? That they must rely on these people to decide when they do or don't need medical care?
No matter how injured. If a parent doesn't deem it necessary to see a doctor, it doesn't happen. Teachers can suggest a doctor visit, but unless it's a very acute injury (and even then), it's ultimately up to the parents.
You can be 13. Twisted, maybe broken ankle. You teacher lets you sit out in PE. She's concerned, and tells you to rest when you go home, and see a doctor. You get home, ur parents fill a bath and add some Epsom salts, and then laugh at you for using it moms old colorguard stick as a cane. Take some ibuprofen they say. It's just a little sprain, ur a kid.
You go to school the next day, go to ur office assistant time. Office calls ur mom to come get you, because you're clearly in too much pain for school. Your mom laughs when she gets you, says you just were so determined not to miss school. Scolds you for making the office ladies worry.
You never see a doctor for the injury.
Your parents come into the exam room at every visit. This does not stop with age, except for gynecologist. But your parents are on the medical release forms. They fill them out for you, with you. You do not get to take them off.
You never get to tell s doctor about the ankle. Even though it never quote healed right, and it hurts every day.
Then your 18. In college. Still on your parents insurance, and have no car. The on campus clinic only does std testing. You fall down some stairs. Same injury. You call your parents, crying from the pain. You are using a mop as a cane. They console you and say to have a bath, take some meds, and let them know how it feels in a few days. You end up borrowing your roommates rolling chair to get around for the weekend.
By Monday, you can walk again. You walk miles to class every day. You ask to see a doctor, but your parents won't drive the hour to come take you, and you don't have the insurance card. You are still at their mercy for medical care. The ankle tries to heal again. This time worse than before. The tendons click with every step.
Now you're in your twenties. Finally have your own healthcare. You see a doctor. You get to mention the ankle! They say it's been too long to really even know what was damaged. That you have arthritis now. It healed wrong but it can no longer be fixed.
I'm 32 now. My ankle tells me the weather. I wear boots to keep it stable. What could have been a funny story about a fall and a cast has become a lifetime injury. Because children do not have access to medical care without a parents approval.
