I think a lot of people vocal about fat liberation put a caveat that fat people deserve respect so long as their fatness is due to something immutable/unchangeable, such as disability, genetics, despite "eating well", etc. And while, of course, those people do deserve respect, so do people who are fat for other reasons.
People who get fat because they want to be.
People who get fat because they eat a lot of "junk" food.
People who get fat because they saw it coming and chose to keep their lifestyle the same.
People who get fat because they don't want to exercise/eat "healthy".
Those people deserve respect too, and it feels they're so often left out of discussions for not being one of the 'good ones' (P.S: fat people don't owe you shit)
i just think if youre usamerican and within an online fan community for something thats also predominantly liked by usamericans You should be nicer and more open minded to fans that arent from the us and maybe dont treat them like some sort of strange fucking creatures. you might get more fans to talk to and befriend if you dont act like the us is the default for everyone in existence. this applies to everything ever when it comes to interacting with others online but im talking about fandom bullshit currently so keep that in mind
genuinely if youre a grown ass adult that goes "wtf you never had a childhood xD" because someone in your fandom community said they didnt have a nintendo console or some shit you need to grow up asap and consider how that can be alienating and add up to this person over time and make them not wanna bother with your poking and prodding. because so many usamericans do the exact same shit .

i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.

Genuinely though it is so frustrating that nonbinary rights and exorsexism are not treated seriously at all, even from within the queer community. It sucks that there's not even an option for an X gender marker in so many countries, including in more progressive queer-friendly ones. It sucks that if enben want to get gender affirming care that we're advised to lie about our gender (or lack thereof) in favour of a more binary trans identity lest we jump through a million extra hoops on top of the million already in place for binary trans people to prove we're serious in order to get the care we want/need. It sucks that in most cases we're still forced into some kind of binary and I wish that the issues we deal with were acknowledged more.
it’s good for you to look at things that make you lightheartedly say “ew” while snickering like a little kid and then carry on. i say this genuinely. it will shift your knee-jerk reaction towards things that mildly disgust you away from fear
