I love masking. I love being sick less. I love being able to grimace at assholes without letting them know. I love not breathing in fine particles that can lead to cardiovascular and brain health issues. I love protecting my community with one simple lifestyle change. The people who hate masking are big babies missing out on a lot of great things.

Conservative beauty standards are back with a vengeance which means it's especially important to go out this summer with bellies out and bodies unshaved. Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.

And go out with a mask on since it's disability pride month and pretty much every disability makes you higher risk for hospitalization and death from respiratory illnesses. This goes triple if you're not disabled! It's more than reminding people that we exist, it's people who aren't us standing up and making the world a safer place for everyone!

masking is genuinely such second nature to me that I forgot to mention it in the og post but yes, mask! I'm partial to the BNX N95 masks because of their price and fit. I have pride in being disabled but I wouldn't choose long covid and CFS if I could go back.

Why is so much adult oriented 2d animation bastard ugly, do they know they don’t have to do that? The characters don’t have to projectile vomit all the time either, but maybe that’s asking too much

I am seriously so grateful for stuff like Blue Eyes Samurai and Mighty Nein for showing people that adult animation doesn't in fact have to mean "Everything is drawn like garbage and all the characters are fucking awful"
