Simple Thoughts

brings dark clouds and pouring rain

a numbing descend

My soul soaks in this

monsoon of heavy teardrops

hopeful of the sun

to break free from the

depths of these torrential storms

to shine once again

Each night you haunt

it gently tears me apart

Love is also a fleeting cloud

that break hearts and drain them in the rain of tears

then buries itself in the coffin of these broken hearts

and returned them unrequited love, with full devotion

so much so that I've grown a strong gravitating void

its pull numbing my soul like an addictive steroid

to the end where I have begun to forget the feeling of pain

but on the outside I have smiled to anyone that has something to gain

I've always gotten behind

but never did I lose a smile

until I stumbled across love

and shattered a heart of gold

I've counted

every falling

snowflake-

Each one

held your face,

Each one

a distant memory.

In your absence

I've traded

every flying

dandelion-

Each one

a wishful hope,

Each one

craved your love.

then walk away

I'll fall

and drown

in sorrows of

dark stains

never to come

then why stay

my faith is lost

just like you

her eyes glowed a shiny golden confidence

about her dreams which were little fairytales

she sang to me and I tried not to be lost in her

falling on your on your face

conquering all the places

where I'd love to softly kiss

You slowly raised your hands

to embrace the magical drizzle

emitting an earthly scent

as if this rain was meant for you

to blossom the beauty within you

I found myself drifting slowly

the beads of droplets formed

a tiara on your curly hair

you were the queen that captivated me whilst the rain captivated you

and I heard you calling -

'Come... dance with me... in this rain...'

be lost in your voice is all I wanna do

and yet I met you by a chance

I'm thankful to fate for you

you're one prayer that was heard

hard to believe but it's true

you're my one and only love bird
