Not enough has been said about Hudson's acting in the scene in Ep. 6 between Shane and Yuna. The way Shane says, basically, "I tried really hard to be straight, and it didn't work, and I'm sorry." It just kills me. Wrapped up in that moment is the experience of every child of every parent ever..."you have these expectations of me, and I can't meet them, no matter how hard I try, and will you still love me if I am ME and not who you thought I would be?" And Hudson's acting is absolutely perfect. The exquisite vulnerability of that moment is everything I love about this show and these amazing actors.

While it’s imperative to canon that people acknowledge Hollanov is freak4freak, I would argue it is just as important that we realize Shane is just as horny as Ilya. Honestly? Probably more so.
