At some point Disney’s going to grow so creatively bankrupt we’re going to get a live action Inside Out or something

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—animated movies are not lesser for being animated.

There so much in an animated movie that can’t be translated to live action, and we like it that way! It’s more versatile as a medium, and your suspension of disbelief works well with it because you know it’s not real.

Every time Loki was in pain the only thing he wanted was the ONE FRIEND HE MADE THERE because it’s the only other person who has loved him unconditionally and hasn’t forced upon him pain and suffering my man was on the edge of TEARS and I just wanted him to have his weird little guy okay let him be HAPPY

And I think people are VERY quick to ship them [See: Sherlock Holmes and John Watson] but can we please bring back the idea of platonic friendships?

I personally am so in love with the idea that a friendship can change you. That the one person you want to be there is someone that you chose because they simply make it better, that it’s not always romantic love, because at the end of the day you have multiple people that form you and shape you and that doesn’t have to come with romantic feelings or affection. That one person loved you enough with all of your flaws, with no ulterior motives, with no expectations.

Sometimes they’re the only person who knows what you’ve been through and understands you in that way. And for men I think the reason we all latch onto male friendships in media is the vulnerability. We’re taught that that’s not a normal thing for men AND IT SHOULD BE
