(Eugene is being held by someone smaller, which is Varian. I always thought that detail was a bit weird. But then it hit me: Eugene is the son of a king, and Varian is the son of a knight/royal guard who served Eugene's dad! Varian is ''protecting'' Eugene.) 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
I need Eugene to kiss more men, so naturally I have decided he will be taking a trip to Greece, and there he will be kissing Hercules.
After Eugene delivers Rapunzel to her parents, he leaves Corona and winds up in Greece. Old habits are hard to break and he ends up resorting to thievery and gets his hands on some cursed object or another. Obviously, he needs a hero's help to break the curse and save him.
oh and also, Hades is super pissed about Eugene's soul just noping the fuck out of the Underworld that one time. (If Jafar can go to the Underworld, I'm just going to say Eugene's soul also went that direction when he died for those, like, 3 minutes.)
We've seen love interests willingly die to keep their partner alive in Disney history, then we have Eugene Fitzherbert who willingly die just to make sure Rapunzel is free. The man knows his priorities. No "I'll stay alive first and track her down later", no "I'll let her save me first and find a moment to cut her hair later", no a moment of doubt, just slices the hair and straight up dies. He knows how much her freedom means for her and even if her life isn't as in danger as much as his is, he cannot live with the thought of her being held captive

You know, I've always said that when it rains Tangled, it pours.
Between Rootbound, all the live action stuff we've been seeing, Sofia the First, and now the official announcement of the musical (which has only been hinted at until now), it holds true.

Another terrible, but mildly humourous headcannon by me;
So most people assume that Donella got the scars on her face from her first fight with Ulla. I personally think that her hair turned white/silver during the fight too, but most people don't notice bc she's already a middle aged woman (she was still on the younger side when the fight happened but she acts like a strict substitute teacher anyways so they just assumed)
During the second fight, Hugo also got hit by whatever magical lightning Ulla used and got the scars + white hair combo too. Expect Hugo's scars are much bigger but also on his back so he usually covers them up with his shirt. (If you look closely you can see the edges of them poking out from his shirt collar). Hugo basically said fuck I look old like Don and decided to dye his hair blonde again
Eugene, in his never ending quest to find a reason to hate Hugo, accuses him of dying his hair blond. Hugo says that his hair is naturally blond (he's a little in denial lol) but Eugene catches the way he self-consciously touches his hair. After some snooping, Eugene discovers the blond hair dye, and removes it so Hugo is forced to admit that his hair is some ugly shade of brown or something
Later that evening, Hugo comes out of the shower, still wet, with a towel wrapped around his waist and looks Eugene dead in the eyes and asks for his hair dye back. This is really the first time anyone aside from Team Radical has seen his scars or white hair so they all quietly freak out about it because they never considered that Hugo could be as much as a cryptid that Varian was
