Mufasa and scar and I going hunting by Dwarfdraco
It's increasingly difficult to get a decent picture of Kunnr, but I won't lie, it's not high on my list of priorities and I'm not a hobbyist photographer or anything like my eldest.
This little kitten is long in the body and remarkably stocky in the legs, much like what I've seen of his Daddy in passing, who's a feral tawny tom in the general neighborhood. He seems to have a rather large territory, however, and we only see him a couple times a week if we're lucky. He seems healthy, but he's young, maybe two years old, three at the absolute most based on when my youngest saw him as a very young feral kitten. I wish I'd known, we might've saved a generation of kittens from needless trauma.

Kunnr removed the witch's burr from my altar and decided it made an awesome toy.
He also chewed through his collar again and I had to remake it with beading wire, and triple bells for more sound movement. Because he's getting sneakier now. And stalkier. During the most recent storm front that moved through we discovered he's definitely not an outside cat despite his obvious propensity for hunting skills. The thunder and rain sounds terrified him.
Kunnr is exhausted today. He had his second dose of dewormer yesterday, and today he went in for his first distemper vaccine.
The ride over was uneventful. The vet tech who took him back said that he got worried/upset while he was in the back. He weighed in over a full pound heavier than two weeks ago, which is amazing.
He has done nothing but sleep all day. I've woken him up multiple times for trips to the playpen litterbox, and to offer him food. He has only eaten a few mouthfuls. This boy usually sucks down a meat milkshake every six hours.
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for my little guy.
Wherever FeNRiR wants to lay down and sleep is where this ginger demon inconveniently wants to be. The canine is resisting assimilation and companionship.
Kunnr is a few days from being two months old and is roughly twice the size he was when he came to me at three weeks. He's still eating from a bottle but I am feeding him thick milkshakes made from milk replacement and pureed canned food. I continue offering solid food alone, but he keeps refusing, and there's no real urgency to push the issue so I'm not. I suspect he ate the solid food prior to deworming simply because he was constantly hungry due to the infection. He'll get bored of the bottle eventually. It's not the end of the world.
