I do see what you mean in the ways the Jake would probably take on the position Robby has in The Pitt. Both of them are, for better or worse, the head honcho. Jake is Olo'eyktan and tends to have a dominating presence in the Sully family. He makes most of the shots. Robby is quite the same. He's in charge of the Emergency Department and he clearly has an almost paternal relationship with so many of the interns and med students, even if that paternal nature isn't the soft and gentle kind. Both of them have people looking up to them, and neither of them want those people to be like them. Robby wants Langdon to be better than him. Jake wants Lo'ak to be better than him. They are the example that is set but they don't want others to use them as an example, if that makes sense.

I could see Neytiri as taking on the role of Dana. But at the same time, I see some of Abbot in her. When Robby's not there, Abbot is in charge. He leads the weirdest and the wildest of The Pitt's medical professionals and he does it with a starkly different level of warmth than Robby. Sure, there are his low points, like in S1E1, he's cold to Mel because he just lost a veteran. Neytiri has plenty of low moments in the Avatar series; she's lost an unfathomable number of people she loves. Understandably so. But just as Abbot is careful to compliment Santos in S1 for how "badass" she was, saving a patient even though the procedure was something she shouldn't have done without supervision, Neytiri doesn't forget to remind her children that she loves and is proud of them and is trying to See them for who they really are despite the pain she's in.

Neteyam as Samira Mohan is just... yeah. The way Jake berates Neteyam for not having literal omnipresence and always being there to stop Lo'ak from getting into trouble or getting hurt, Robby berates Samira for trying to connect with her patients and for having a panic attack when her entire life seems to be falling apart. Both of them are trying their very best but it's just never enough. In the end, Neteyam joins the ancestors. In the end, Samira leaves The Pitt and chooses to walk a different path.

I think people might see a similarity between Kiri and Mel King—and they're not wrong—but I actually can see a lot of Victoria Javadi in her. Kiri is more connected to Eywa than anyone else, and it's because of the circumstances of her birth that she's like this. I don't really see Kiri as a clone; I see her as the daughter of Grace Augustine and Eywa, a child born from the love Grace had for Eywa and the love Eywa had in turn for Grace. Victoria Javadi is a med student because both of her parents are medical professionals. That isn't to say Javadi couldn't have ever done anything else, but it's clear by how hard she worked to be only 20 and working at The Pitt that her upbringing left her almost no other options in her life. Neither of them are particularly happy, it seems, with this either. Kiri doesn't have the best relationship to her identity and her creation or with Eywa. Javadi is rethinking her career and her relationship with her father seems to be okay but there's clear tension regarding her mother.

Lo'ak and Matteo have the same vibe, I think. But I think he resonates, in my mind, more with Langdon in a couple key ways. Langdon and Lo'ak both hold Robby and Jake's opinions of them in high regard (esp. in S1 of The Pitt), and thought Langdon has Robby's trust at the beginning, he loses it at the end entirely. Meanwhile, Lo'ak is a child. It would be stupid for Jake to trust a teenage boy in a war, even if both of them would love nothing more than for that. Lo'ak is, what, 15 as of right now in canon?

Again, on the topic of Matteo, I can easily see Spider vining with him as well. But when it comes down to it, since we don't know much about Matteo's backstory, there isn't much else to work with there. So I'd say Spider might actually take on the same role as Whitaker, actually. Not in terms of temperament, not in the slightest. But in the way that Whitaker wants to fit in. He's not from around Pittsburg. And it's shown that not everyone else is, of course; but Whitaker is putting the most effort into not wanting his identity as being from the country, being raised on a farm, to impact how he's seen at work. He doesn't appreciate the nickname "Huckleberry" in S1 because of it. He feels it reduces him to just being from another place, much in the same way Spider was born on Pandora and absorbs the culture of the Na'vi clans he's around but will always be a "pink skin," a "demon," a "sky man."

Tuktirey is Emma, the sweet angel nursing student who arrives in S2 of The Pitt. That's just for right now, though. I hope we get to see way more of Tuk's nature in the A4! I feel like she's on the way to becoming a Santos in terms of sarcasm and having a tough exterior to protect herself; mainly due to the heavy implications of Santos having experienced great trauma in her youth paired with the fact that Tuk is a child in a terrible, seemingly never-ending war.
