The Long Twilight

A story largely focused around the titular band The Long Twilight, an internationally famous pop-punk group in modern-day Hyrule composed of Hylians who have no idea that they're descendants of different iterations of the Hero's Spirit.

Most of the story takes place in New Castletown, Hyrule's capital city. A predominantly Hylian continent, Hyrule is often considered the center of the world by its denizens and those related to the royal family, but it's by no means the only noteworthy place. The different races and factions have various relationships with one another—some better than others.

But what is this story, really?

A self-indulgent M/M OC-fest with a lot of LoZ-based worldbuilding, mostly. Some modern-day characters align closely with my headcanons for their canon counterparts; others have deviated significantly, becoming more their own people over time, but the lore remains. Not everyone is a Link, all named characters are based on some LoZ character, but the Links are largely the most important ones. This was originally a shared project but the other party has moved on and I'm unwilling to let my hard work and passion go to waste, so here we are.

Then what is this blog?

Ask blog, lore blog, art blog, whatever it needs to be. I would love to engage with other people on this world and these characters are everything to me. It's equal parts a love letter to the LoZ series and just a very fun exploration of many different kinds of characters. Dark themes and ships ahoy, but I'll probably be keeping the severe stuff off of Tumblr. best comeback story of the century: after three years of radio silence and a band breakup that largely went unaddressed by management, luke miller rose like a phoenix from the ashes to reclaim his place in pop culture and in the band he'd helped make (though he and will are splitting custody of the drums).

he's also in a relationship with the lead singer now. don't worry about it.

tyler was unable to cheer damien up, but when i saw that was a thing that could be done, i was like, okay, let's try luke instead. luke is better at getting through to damien.

and luke did get through to him. one of the things he said to do so was this

and like. listen. i get it. the mii was probably picking a verb, as in like, "let me see your winning face!!" or something, you know. i understand that this is not some wild code-break.

but the fact that THIS was what he said. that luke miller would absolutely, 100% say "i wanna see your fucking face, d" while trying to get damien to look at him.

a million years later, i have returned to the height chart redraw to add mr. themanthemyththelegend luke miller himself. i also fixed up tyler and damien since i was last working on this months ago

his original design did eventually incorporate a tattoo sleeve, which makes sense for him to have, but whether or not i'll ever add it is a different question. it's safe to assume both him and damien have more tattoos than just the triforces, i just hate designing tattoos
