good omens is by and large a very good book with positive messages but i stopped posting about it after the neil gaiman stuff came to light bc the quality of the content doesn't fucking matter when we're talking about materially supporting people who wield their power & influence to harm others

CAP's latest bout of encouraging democrats to further abandon transfems is honestly kinda perversely funny when you remember things. like the 2016 north carolina bathroom bill provoked such an effective response from local and national democrats that not only was the bill overturned but the democrats took power from a sitting governor for the first time in history in the state, in the year trump got elected. and rather than taking that as a win and claiming it as an example of a single good thing they have ever done the party and its supporters have completely memory holed what they did then so they can shrug and tell their detractors that their hands are tied or that it isn't proper to pick a fight in the wake of every bit of transphobic and transmisogynistic legislation since. but of course party leadership has wisely decided they would rather have every tranny, latin american, arab and muslim suffer than win an election again. to the point they just put their party headquarters on collateral for a loan they aren't good for
