I'm not amazing at writing book recs, but I don't see people recomminding @natalieironside's (fantastic) book In The Court of the Nameless King and really touching on what must have been my literal favorite part of the whole thing. Like, if you know anything about this book, you know it's trans f/f spider girl erotica set in a fantasy universe, which is, of course, all well and good. And it is great at being that. Natalie Ironside writes some of the best f/f smut I've ever read.

But - especially in the second story in the collection, The Apostate, though we see it through the entire story- no one told me that, in any other world, the Nameless Queen is literally your "stereotypical" anti-Christian demonic hordes that the righteous christian crusaders have to fight against.

Now, I can't imagine anyone following me on here has any misconceptions how I feel about that, but I'm just gonna lay it out. I'm Jewish and bitter and I have no love for the crusader archetype, and I've always liked the scary demon people better.

If you get this book, you should get it because you like f/f erotica and cool fantasy, but if you're on the fence about it, I'm just saying. Hedonistic monster-worshipping horrifying warriors who celebrate their goddess with blood and pleasure and fight like demons, what more could you want. And there's also really good erotica.

(It is really good erotica. Other people have said more on this subject than I have or can say well, so I recommend just going and looking up a different review, but like. Woof. 10/10. Extremely good stuff.)
