Though honestly about that Parody video, I feel like internet shitheads blew it out of proportion although everyone was wrong in the situation Sr Pelo was wrong because even if he says it wasn't meanspirited (and honestly there's a lot more things made in meaner spirits) the big reason the video came out was because there was a thing at the time where animators were resentful of Storytime Animators for making more off their content which was seen as "low effort art" while calling themselves animators and there was a joke in the video that Newgrounds calls the cops on them for that which can easily be read as "I think you should actually be arrested for stolen animator valour".
