i probably need to make a whole post about it at some point but it is genuinely awful and i hate to see footage of concussion or jaw injury sid. i guess this is probably a very specific medical professional problem for me personally but it’s honestly so terrible to see. makes me flinch every time, for the breach in medical privacy alone. i hate how much you can tell from the footage. and how much the pens actively made public at the time because (to a degree) it was common practice to just straight up publicise private medical information about your players. awful awful awful.

I don’t care!#In ten years using instagram i never once saw the footage of THAT winter classic hit posted #since deleting my personal instagram account and returning to tumblr and making a tiktok last year i have seen it posted SO FREQUENTLY!#I live every day with the consequences of a concussion so sorry if i don’t want to see hits that result in TBI being used in edits #i am also a fan of Sid and remember those years he was out. They were awful not knowing if he’d play again. I don’t take that lightly #sorry to spoil the fun on this subject AGAIN #I am aware my blog thesis is actually sports-related head injuries
