starting uni just as LLMs and generative ai was becoming big made for a twilight zone experience because i could actually follow as ppl got WORSE at basic skills instead of better. oh i can't write an email. oh i can't read theory. oh i can't write an essay. oh i can't write a scientific paper. oh i can't search for pre-existing images. yes you literally can, we've been doing it for ages, but ai convinced you otherwise. and then you feel even more like the twilight zone because there's some people who really don't like that pointed out to them.
