the concept of disorder feels sooo weird to me. like. i feel like the concept of disability is far more based in reality. cuz like. one of the defining features of a disorder is abnormality and im like??? who gets to decide what is abnormal????? in what culture is this abnormal. if we weren't in such an ableist saneist society would this even be an issue?? does everyone who experience this even feel distress, and if they do, are they just disadvantaged by society. it feels like such a culturally based word which isnt really very good if youre trying to be objective and scientific. and honestly this probably wouldnt be such a problem if people didnt treat it like holy words
