Don't get me wrong ripping it apart will be a fun challenge, but printers can bring no joy to people. They are Joy black holes. This printer I'm pretty sure needs the ink sponge cleaned out. And whatever mechanism seals the print heads when it's not in use also needs work.

For you see this is my mom's old printer. And it had this nasty habit of not printing things because the ink heads will get clogged. For every page you wanted to print you had to run like five test pages and three head cleans

So now it's time to rip the thing apart and clean it. And maybe then it will work for another few years until a software update eventually kills it and sends it to its deserving grave
