ohhhh shit. target is recalling their up & up baby wipes (fragrance free & fresh cucumber scented) because they're contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, multiple people are reporting discoloration & infections. i just got a call about it cuz i had purchased those but i've already gone through them 😅 so no refund for me. but im fine. if you have these they're saying you need to immediately stop using them and bring them back to target for a full refund. this bacteria can cause life threatening infections in children/infants and people with compromises immune systems (ESPECIALLY cystic fibrosis!!) and i know lots of other chronically ill people follow me!!!!

Having proved that they will respond to bug reports about inappropriately applied content warnings, my plan is now to continue submitting them until I have built up a stock of evidence that the system disproportionately wrongly flags LGBT content (type of language a tech company will respond better to), then see if they’ll respond to a well documented bug report (or series of reports) about that. 👍 All I care about is getting the problem fixed and if this is the correct series of hoops to jump through then I will do it.

Honestly this is the type of thing that might work best as a collaborative project, with a lot of people working together to compile records of wrongly flagged posts and what percentage of them are LGBT-related (ideally this would also include data about what percentage of posts overall are LGBT-related but I think this might be too difficult.)

maybe this is not my place to say because I am monolingual, and I'm sure it's part of a larger, more nuanced discussion about visibility and accessibility on the internet, but I think it'd be cool if people posted in their native languages more instead of in english. I see people do it way more on other platforms than on tumblr which is almost exclusively in english
