01. a brief summary of my stances:
01. antifascist anarchocommunist 02. pro-palestine, anti-zionist 03. strong supporter of land back 04. Black Lives Matter, anti-cop 05. prison abolishionist 06. anti-ABA therapy. if you want to know why, read my experience. read this as well. actually just go through my #aba therapy tag 07. anti-psychiatry 08. for fat liberation 09. not involved in syscourse, shipcourse, and most queer discourse nor do I have the desire to be (don't ask me about it)
02. some information about interacting with me:
. I try to answer all the asks I get. I usually fail. many of the asks I get will be answered a month+ later than they were sent. I get a lot of asks and it's hard for me to keep up with them. if it's been a while since you sent your ask feel free to resend it, it probably got lost. all my asks are tagged #ask so it's easy to search for yours
. I assume good faith in most interactions until someone proves to me that they are interacting in bad faith. I don't bite, I promise. I am sometimes blunt but I don't usually mean to be hurtful
. I would prefer to be asked before having my posts shared publicly on other platforms
. I don't have a DNI but I do frequently block people. as long as you don't bring discourse onto my posts, act overtly bigoted, or engage with me in bad faith you will probably not be blocked.
. I will sometimes delete posts written by bigots after I've reblogged them. I require evidence to be sent with your message to do this (I will not go digging for it myself) and I don't delete posts over internet discourse or interpersonal drama
03. some other information about me, if you care:
I'm a university student studying biology and I work as an undergraduate research assistant researching biology pedagogy. I like being a university student and I like my job. I'm hoping to go into pediatric occupational therapy but I've been taking my sweet time getting through undergrad. my back up plan is ornithology.
I love birds and all things birds. I'm slowly getting into bird watching! I'm a crow and roadrunner therian (also a gray fox). my favorite birds are the american crow, greater roadrunner, and woodhouse's scrub jay.
I'm big on hiking and climbing mountains. I grew up in the rocky mountains and the mountains are truly home. I've climbed 2 14ers (mt blue sky + mt sherman), a 12er (lake peak in the sangre de cristo mountains), and every time I make plans to climb mt bierstadt something goes wrong. I belong above timber line. I was big on skiing but lately I've had problems due to my disability + the severe drought in the southwest has reduced snow pack substantially.
once upon a time I had plans to become a chef but I became too disabled to go to culinary school. I still love cooking. I publish a lot of my recipes under my #recipe tag. many of the recipes I post are disability friendly and use few dishes and have minimal steps to make them easy with low spoons.
now that you see me as a person rather than a walking list of labels:
I am multiply disabled with:
hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome & co
systemic lupus erythematosus
miserable malalignment syndrome
I used to use a wheelchair nearly full time but with a lot of physical therapy and the right lupus meds I have been able to reduce my wheelchair use to mostly just around campus. I also use forearm crutches.
I have auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) which causes hearing loss and symptoms comparable to auditory processing disorder. I wear hearing aids much of the time and use an FM system to access classes and other presentation-style events.
I am mad and neurodivergent. I have schizoaffective bipolar type and I am autistic- together these make me schizotistic. I have professionally diagnosed DID but I do not consider myself a system, though I will not be upset if you call me one.
I am an intersex intergender trans foxboy! I am also bisexual. I've been on T for years and have had a hysterectomy + BSO. feel free to ask me about these, I love medically creating new men πͺπ³οΈββ§οΈ
