The face of disappointment at the end of my not so great training "run". . I started out strong then about a mile in my abdomin cramped up something awful. Usually I can walk or jog it out but this time I couldn't. Even if I speed walked it would give me sharp pain. So I had to walk all the way back home. 2.5miles took me 40minutes. . Is this frustrating and disappointing? Heck yes. Will I quit and say I just can't run? Heck no. Tomorrow is a new day and I am sure it'll be better. . Things aren't always going to be easy, there will be obstacles thrown in your way and hurdles you need to jump but if you keep your eye on you goal then you will reach it. . What a rough 10k Saturday. I didn't eat right so not much energy. Then on mile 2 I slipped on a patch of ice and fell so I was a bit stiff for the rest of my run. Week 1, Day 4 of training for the @3mhalfmarathon. Today was a time trial, 1 mile slow, 2 miles fast. In reality it was all pretty slow. First real #trainingrun in a long time. Been a little nervous about getting back out there after the hip bursitis from @runrocknroll nashville. Felt great during the run - I kept telling myself slight bend at the knee, forward lean, chest up and out, arms low and relaxed, short, quick midfoot strikes, control your breathing. Once I finished the run I felt knee pain and piriformis pain both on the left side. Trying to stay #injuryfree so I'm taking all suggestions! This time I'm taking #crosstraining seriously and #foamrolling like crazy. @tha_general_mp is always telling me to ice everything and @purposedrivenpt tells me to stretch. Anyone else have any tips for me? #workingmywaybackto11 #halfmarathontraining #runhappy

Not pictured? My @garminfitness I’ve read a lot recently about “running by feel” the problem for me is that my “feel” is slow. The nice thing about data is I can confirm effort level, or lack there of and pick up the pace.
