-alyzed(from catalyzed): A suffix intended to be the subsystem, subgroup, etc. equivalent of "-formed". It refers to how or why a specific subsystem, subgroup, etc. formed, view themselves as having formed, and/or are viewed by others in-system. For example 'Stressalyzed', would refer to a subsystem, subgroup, etc. that formed because alter(s) or the (sub)system as a whole was under stress.

They can also have to do with the subsystem's, subgroup's, etc. feeling about why they exist. For example, an introjected subsystem who died in source may consider themselves to have been reborn into the system, and as such consider themselves 'phoenixalyzed' ,or similar.

-stallized (from crystallized): A suffix intended to be the layer, area, inner world structure, etc. equivalent of "-formed". It refers to how or why a specific layer, area, inner world structure, etc. formed, and/or are viewed by those in-system. For example 'Stresstallized', would refer to a layer, area, inner world structure, etc. that formed because alter(s) or the (sub)system as a whole was under stress.

They can be literal, metaphorical, or something in between.

Does anyone have any rescources on its coining?

Specifically references for its use before endos as ramcoa term for alters moving between subsystems?

I know it's a hard dig because of how often and flooded its use is from endos using it for "alters moving from one person's system to another" which is batshit, but I'm trying hard to make awareness for its origins at the very least.

because as sys with many layers/sides/subs i would like to use/reclaim that term or offer an alternative disconnected from what endos now use that fits that expirience.

I just wanna vent/have that discussion and have clearer ideas of terms.

An innerworld is what some systems call the perceived space in their mind. While systems are formed as shifts and splits within a child's development of a cohesive single personality, the process of splitting tends to involve the child's imagination.

Children with trauma tend to lean heavily into their imagination as a way to cope, combined with the dissociation aspect of the split and the developmental interruption, this situation turns into the creation of a system. As this system progresses, the internal sense of mind grows and develops with it.

The concept of an inner world is fairly clear, it's an inner sense of home created by the person's imagination during splits and the creation of the system.

a virtustrata is a layer that functions similarly to a virtual reality space! it may be composed of/only accessible to mechanistic headmates, or nonmechanistic headmates using a technological device in headspace. the flag's colors are picked from a ready player one movie poster!

And then, in each layer has "apartments" or "rooms" where headmates may reside.

I'm not too savvy on layers aside from this - so if anyone has any more information that might help, feel free to add in a reblog or comment!

Pretty sure the term is functionally the same as a sidesystem, if you know what that means. We just tend to use the word layers.
