A subsystem-hivemind combination

It's similar to how gem fusions in Steven Universe become a different yet collective of people as they fuse, except when the subsystem/hivemind "unfuses" they cannot seperate at all and are physically attached teathered. Ruby and Sapphire can outwardly talk as themselves through garnet, while garnet can also fluidly talk as herself, who is a fusion of the two. Think of it like a combination of a grouped subsystem and a system in a system subsystem that can be both simultaneously a single presenting person as a collective fused whole, and a plural gathering of a singular conscious presentation of self. The 2 or more parts take a piece of themselves that contributes to the fused appearance, but when ununitied they are still teathered as a whole. Plural as a singular and singular as a plural through the evershifting subsystem hivemind that are the alters.
