What a fabulous #soberweekend with the family, all thanks to God. It was just quick trip to the city (yeah, we do leave our cave in the boonies once in a while 😂) to see the siblings and the traffic lights🚦haha! But it was all worth it -- we had lunch with our parents, who always enjoy taking time out from work, dinner by the pool at my brother's neighborhood, and husband ran into his spiritual mentor he met at the treatment center five years ago. We're five years sober now and Pastor Fajardo was delighted to see him doing great and enjoying quality with his family. You know once I’d have spent Friday at work just clock watching, just waiting to go home so I could crack open a bottle of my fave beverage then that would be it for the weekend, my car would be parked up and it would be taxi’s, wine, meals and hangovers from hell! I sit here in my office today happy, happy from the inside out, I am so grateful for all that I have and I genuinely love my job, I am so lucky, I love being clear headed, I love how much I can focus, I love that I don’t have to make any plans for the weekend to try and avoid overthinking! I love knowing that I won’t say anything stupid, talk too loud, insult anybody by accident, share too much information, spend too much money, I really love knowing that I won’t wake up on Sunday morning with crippling anxiety wondering what I’ve said or done. So this is being sent from my hotel bedroom. My house is having a full rewire so thought I’d take a little bit of time for my brain to have one too. The kids have been deposited at their (dads, grandmas, boyfriends) The dog at his beautiful new holiday home and Tom wanted to play golf, so it made total sense that I came along and made use of the amazing spa 🛀 hey the restaurant last night took the taste card too and as neither of us drink anymore our meal cost us about £25 - bonus 🙌🏻 . I’m writing this from my big bed, whilst waiting for my breakfast! I don’t even know the last time I had breakfast brought to me in bed 🛏 infact have I ever had breakfast brought to me in bed? I am defo making the most of this! I’ve just caught up on a that new BBC drama @killingeve too, how good is it?
