Bad Singing Tip #1
Open your throat. Just really make sure to open. As wide as you can. This will really make you feel more relaxed and comfortable. Make sure you don’t feel tension but make sure you make it ooooopen. If you don’t know how it’s supposed to feel, yawn and then really really stretch the back of your mouth. Like if you were yawning for two people. That much stretch and openness. This shouldn’t feel tense like you might expect and in fact helps you reach for those high notes. How else are you gonna expand your range? It’s actually super natural and great for you. If you have a sore throat afterwards from practicing this, don’t be surprised. It just means you need to practice more.

Your personal DD, no really.
For the record I ain't talking about drunk driving while singing, but rather distortion and distraction while. And lastly 1 bonus. 1. Distortion. I've been raving about singing in your natural voice like everybody and their mama's but DO ET. I'm a baritone who is jealous of other tenors, so sometimes I try to sing up there and consequently my voice gets all jacked up and distorts my pronunciation & vowels. This ain't no rad guitar type of distortion either, I listen back and no wonder it sounds like shit. 2. Distraction. We all have busy lives, I get it. Prioritize being realistic, and don't feel bad about what those parameters are. Even if you practice for 5 mins away, feel GOOD that you actually got off your lazy butt. That being said you better make damn sure you are focused as hell for those five minutes and sing until you get every note right. I noticed I get distracted when I sing everyday, say on my 178th day (lol). When I get distracted I half ass some notes in the song I'm attempting. Just try. 3. Bonus. BE INTENTIONAL ON WHAT YOU SING. seriously, if you want to elongate hair in "ii- love mah HAAAAAAIIIIR" then be conscious of that when that phrase comes. It will transform your melody immensely. Don't Mary had a little lamb that shit. Hope this helps.
No bullshit integration
Been awhile since I've analyzed my vocal progress but I've been practicing. Techniques I've been doing. 1. Record myself EVERYDAY singing phrase by phrase of singers similar to my voice. (Minimum 3 minute long recording) via iPhone memos 2. Embrace your real voice, I've been cheating myself of the natural and beautiful resonance of my deep voice by trying to singer higher. 3. Ironically, don't prioritize vocal "exercises" over practicing a real song. Exercises are great but don't let me detour you from the main goal, singing over music. In all, recording yourself everyday gives you the opportunity to hear your raw voice and hone in on what to fix. Don't try to be like other singers, we can utilize their technique and emulate heir styles but we'll sound fuckin awesome in our own voices. Lastly, train smartly. Apply vocal exercises to what your vocals lacks, but don't make that the main and only practice routine.
