I still can't forget Renjun's high note in Boom even though the song came out in 2019, it's still 100% iconic to me .

I’m cool and disciplined.

Eleven: 1. What a surprising character and talented young actress!

Dustin: how does one choose?? But I think 2 because he got to shine on his own a bit AND start one of the best relationships on the show by pairing him with Steve

Will: 2 because he likes it cold! One of the only actors that got worse over the years instead of better. Like some of his line readings in season 5 are like nails on a chalkboard. (“We HAVE to find him, and WE HAVE to save Derek” nodding like he’s a teacher teaching students)

Lucas: 5- best of boyfriends and best of men (and best of actors!) made me realize I’ve been sleeping on him this whole time. He was my least favorite in 1– not only did I find Lucas kind of annoying but I FELT Caleb’s musical theater upbringing because it was a little too overplayed, but he got better year after year

Hopper: 3- leave the door open three inches! What a journey he went on this season

Joyce: 4-i liked her on her own adventure and not hovering over Will the whole time

Jonathan: 2. We saw him pining for the girl but actually deserving to get the girl/cooking on somethin’. I otherwise find him boring tbh

Nancy: 3. Nancy drew realness!

Steve: consistently good but probably 2. The birth of Steve the babysitter AND his friendship with Dustin! My Shayla

Max: potentially controversial, but season 5. Sadie sink suffered the same issue i had with Caleb in her first season— she was acting a bit “too big” and it kinda took me out of it. But not only did she adjust to the medium over the years but i liked her character more and more over the years. Current year she is wiser, more thoughtful, more mature, more vulnerable. She and Caleb together in season 5 made me sob more than any other part

Robin: just gets better and better whichever season she is in is her best season my little meow meow

Murray: 3 for sure. We get the best of him and he gets to have fun with alexei !

Trick: the best way to approach high notes is to think about opening the BACK of your mouth, almost like you're yawning, or you're about to bite into a big juicy delicious apple. Warm up to them gradually to slowly stretch the muscle as you work up. Also high notes can sense fear, so you've gotta attack them loudly and boldly!

(but seriously, you gotta open the BACK of your throat to access more pharyngeal space and allow the larynx flexibility. If you ever had a choir teacher say "your mouth should be open three fingers wide" just know I'm hitting them with hammers)
