programmed culture is having a very different definition of "core" in the system than most — our shell (I think) equals the core because it contains countless fragments and alters (together making up the shell) on which near every single other alter in the system is based, they are the base for new splits, etc. and are therefore structurally the center/core holders of system traits
which is awful because our shell contains all the various program holders, therefore new splits contain the programmed traits too
