I want to share something very intimate with yโall: I struggle, daily, with the way I look. In a career that is becoming inundated with more and more images of what strength is SUPPOSED to look like (not what it actually is) itโs hard for me to look in the mirror, and see strength. I tend to forget the things Iโve been through, and worked on, and only focus on how โskinnyโ I am, or how my legs/arms/etc. arenโt a big as the guy next to me. I struggle daily with my skin color, being made to believe that my darkness is a sign of unworthiness. Iโm so blessed to have a partner in @cooking.with.techno that showers me with love, understanding, and strength when I need it. This week has been particularly rough, but I realize that the images I see are just that, and they donโt speak reality to my life. Remember this: fitness is NOT a look, I donโt care how many Instagram โinfluencersโ say that it is. How you move, and how you feel, are much better indicators of fitness than how you look. Donโt believe the hype! #calisthenicsworkout #yogapractice #personaltrainerseattle #seattlepersonaltrainer #armbalance #cranepose #craneposevariation #workout #workoutmotivation #yogainspiration #yogainspiredfitness #bodyweighttraining #bodyweightworkout #bodyweightstrength #bodydysmorphia #truestrength https://www.instagram.com/p/BtTj0cEFAt5/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1br7bpxd3exj3
