december’s stars - eclipses & preparation for saturn/pluto conjunction
tthings are getting heavy. there is a palpable tension in the air as we move into the last month of 2019. on the 1st, jupiter ingressed into capricorn, leaving the exuberant warmth of its home in sagittarius. jupiter in capricorn is jupiter’s exile, his place of detriment and struggle. the jupiterian themes this year involve the need to constrict in order to grow, even inviting us to over-estimate our own failures and shortcomings in order to push the extra mile. in order to find abundance, we must be prudent, patient, and a touch cynical about it all.
this month, jupiter will move into a trine with uranus, stimulating revolution, growth, and renewal of old paradigms and broken beliefs. it is a time of potent re-evaluation, and we are being invited to discard what no longer works, or experience upheaval and powerlessness under the foot of our own limiting thoughts and perceptions.
there can be the urge to suddenly change it all, and we are seeking revitalization. there is a palpable tension within the collective; some are still flying high while others are numb with depression. this can lead to unpleasant clashes and reality checks - speaking of which, neptune will be involved in many aspects this month as well.
all of the cosmic movements this month are working to prepare us for the themes of saturn/pluto - a conjunction that will exact on january 12th, and that will also include the sun and mercury. this will effectively catalyze a new chapter in our lives - possibly by force. saturn/pluto signifies constriction, inertia, a heavy immovable object that shoves transformation upon us. without proper preparation - the gradual dissolution of the old paradigms, the gentle prodding reminder of the ways in which we live in fantasy - we could miss many of the lessons in the pain and thickness of it all.
the sun will be making a square to neptune on the 8th, shining a light on delusion and false gurus in our midst, as well as illuminating new leaders and paths of promise. we will experience a new level of mystic clarity - a term that is a bit of an oxymoron. neptune signifies, along with fantasy, magick, idealism, self-sacrifice, dreams, delusions, drugs, lies, and confusion, - our etheric bodies and extrasensory abilities. the square from the sun in sagittarius to neptune, who is in her home of pisces, will show us the ways in which we are eliminating and blocking our own psychic potency through games of ego. shortly after, mars will form a trine to neptune, allowing us to take action on these changes, and chase our ethereal potential in new ways.
on christmas, a solar eclipse will occur with the sun and moon conjoining at 4 degrees capricorn, creating the rare sight of a “ring of fire” over parts of asia. despite the intensity, all signs point to this being a pleasant transit. the solar eclipse will be conjunct jupiter, broadening our perceptions of what could be - allowing us to seek the emergence of new and deeper qualities from within. jupiter will be trine uranus in taurus during this solar eclipse as well, pointedly helping us to shatter old beliefs as we enjoy the holidays. this is a perfect time to set new goals, ones that we may actually attain and surpass.
many new downloads and upgrades are on their way this month. with all the capricorn energy bringing gifts, these things will be complex, sturdy, and take time to integrate. it is time to step up and embrace the concept of maturity - with potential dark clouds on the horizon - we have a sense of fearless resignation and a sense of being able to grapple with deep seated change.
