This recipe for lemon garlic roast chicken is easy to make and tastes great. When lemon and garlic are mixed together, they give the chicken a wonderful flavor that goes well with how juicy and tender it is.
Ingredients: 1 whole chicken. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 lemons, juiced and zested. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Place the whole chicken in a roasting pan. Rub the garlic-lemon mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it's coated thoroughly. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 75C when tested with a meat thermometer. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve the lemon garlic roast chicken hot, garnished with fresh lemon slices if desired.
