What's your silliest writing advice that really works for you?
For me, when I'm stuck, I literally copy the bit I'm struggling with into a new word document. It's so silly but just moving it to a blank page makes me feel like I can deal with it better.
how 2 shop more sustainably 🎀
shop for your body type
don’t succumb to quick trends
shop for what you really like, not what everyone else is wearing
basics will never go out of style
pay close attention to cut patterns and stitching as it’ll tell you if a piece is quality or not
don’t spend hundreds of dollars on fast fashion, don’t even spend ONE hundred dollars on fast fashion
take better care of the clothing you do have
curate your wardrobe
don’t buy knock offs, save for the real thing or find more affordable designers to explore
Random trekking tips because I just got home and I really miss the mountains.
always wear sunscreen. “but i am totally darker than you” who cares ⁉️ sun + wind = less hot but more exposure to direct sun rays. you need less protection than my nordic ass skin but you still need it. if you don’t want to buy it for yourself ask ur pale friends! we already need to buy it for ourselves it's not a problem. [ “how do you know this?!” “fake news” “you are literally slavic what do you pretend to know ab it” i have a black alpinist friend who one day told me to spread this info around. if you don’t want to wear sunscreen, have fun <3 ]
cover ! your ! hair / head ! this one is literally so important. as i already said, more exposure to the direct sun rays. ur head will HURT. sunburns there are not funny (dealing w/ one rn). wear a bandana/head covering/hat that's LIGHT coloured. better if you can get scalp-specific sunscreen! but if you don’t, be sure to stop when you feel like your head is getting too hot and pur some water on whatever you are using to cover it.
when someone is climbing and you are descending, they have more right to the street than you. always. stopping when you are descending is always easier than stopping when you are climbing.
say hello to others! you are on a mountain, not a seaside, we are all struggling and really tired. be nice to the people you encounter and the nature all around you so that other people can have a nice experience, similar to the one you had.
every step is a win! alpinism and trekking in general is a difficult sport and we never give ourselves enough credit. the first person who did the route you are on right now ended up on a newspaper! you deserve it too! going up with the cable car/funicular is totally okay. you are there to watch things and enjoy! not to overdo.
packing is the most important thing! we all like to buy new, shiny, little backpacks that the people who taught us how to climb would find ridiculous, and they would be right. i can’t hope to know what everyone needs in their backpack, but knowing what i know (hoodie! a spare t-shirt! water! medicine if you need any! more socks! random souvenirs! another water bottle! umbrella/k-way!) you will need a bigger backpack. be sure to make a list of whatever you need packed and to prepare everything the evening prior. that way you’ll know what you need to buy in the morning!
start. early. mountains are not always safe. we do try and make them as safe and as accessible as possible but, sadly, that can’t be done. funiculars usually start earlier when you have to take more than one to get on top of the mountain, so count that in. they also stop earlier! you’ll have to be down at like four-to-five pm, which is very very early on. if you want to do something fun, the latest you can get out of your house is ten am.
water is life. literally. you will need at least a one-liter bottle of water, either still or sparkling (idk how to say that in american, just count what you would put in a normal-sized thermos) and another one that’s either empty or almost-empty. water from fountains is always better (and colder!) than bottled water, so take whatever you need!
if you need to go to the toilet and you see a restaurant/bar/caffè, either ask “may i ask for the toilet” (not “may i go to the toilet” or “the toilet please”), or get inside with someone and have them order a coffee. a lot of people who work there live on people who need to use the toilet, so they have a customer only policy.
learn something about the place you are going to. do not go to the alps and think “christians got everything” the first time you see a cross on top of a mountain, and listen to the locals when they tell you that one place is sacred or bad luck. they know more than you.
on the same point as before, locals always know more. google can be your friend, that’s a well-known truth, but always get to the city info-point and ask them for a map and some tips. they will usually point you to routes that are less frequented and more interesting.
start easy. nobody is keeping tracks of what you are and are not doing. go your own pace. if you are out of practice, new, not looking for big adventures, just in want of a nice view with less work, look for family (or stroller) friendly routes. it’s not a shame to enjoy what everybody else can enjoy! if a lot of people go there, then it must be good!
have fun. alpinism and trekking in general must be fun, not something you must do. mountains have been there for years and are not going to disappear just because you didn’t go on a walk one day over the seven you are going to stay there.
Random tips!
- For those of you who may wear hair ties on your wrist all the time, Make sure they aren’t too tight around the wrist as for this can cut off circulation. If it leaves a ring around your wrist, try and find looser ties.
- Drink a glass of water before bed and when you wake up. As you sleep throughout the night, you may get dehydrated but with a glass of water in you, You have an unlikely chance of becoming dehydrated. Now when you wake up, Drink a glass of lemon water can aid digestion and helps to flush impurities out of the system!
- If you’re in school and you may forget things easily, Write the note down immediately. Then when you forget about it, Look through the notebook you wrote it in and it’ll be there.
- Live for yourself, not for others. If you continue living your life the way others want you to, You’ll become very unhappy quickly. Take care of yourself overall and do what you love and if someone doesn’t like that, That’s not your problem.
- Everytime you feel yourself slouching, try straightening up your back. It can help you breathe better and may also strengthen your core. Note, You don’t necessarily have to be extremely straight but just be gentle on your back!
- Go for a walk in nature. Sometimes getting away can be good for us, mentally and or physically. Soak in the sun and the fresh breeze that comes along with it, appreciate that.
- Learn to say no. Sometimes we avoid saying no because we know (depending on the situation) that it may hurt the other person’s feelings. However, Being honest is what’s important for the mind and for other’s involved. You can be kind even when you say no.
- Keep your cellphone brightenss low. Too bright of your phone can be harmful to the eyes. Keep the brightness about halfway, or even lower! Avoid too much light before going to bed as well as this can waken you up.
Hope this helps! Remember to always stay strong and take care of yourselves. With much love, 💕

I very much need to sleep but oh well.
You know what i wish ? I wish we had more examples or adhd role models who are middle aged and take medication ( and maybe some who don't). I want to see adhd adults. I want to see successful ones, middle class ones, poc and disabled. I never realized how badly I craved accurate representation before.
I have never seen an adult with adhd on tv before. Let alone adhd person taking meds for it. The only time we see people with adhd is when they are super rich or famous and even then they are usually .....white men.
So. If you are middle aged. If you consider yourself an adult. If you have been taking medication. If you want show representation:
Add to this post. Whatever you want. A few thing about you, how old you are, some things you wish you knew. How your adhd has changed. What ever you want. I just need to hear that there are adhd people older than 26.
random tip #2
A swig of baking soda in water relieves acid reflux/heartburn INSTANTLY. Just don’t do it often because it can cause rebound. (one 1/2 tsp of soda in a cuppa water, and sometimes a sip or two is all you need)
Good news, everyone! Multiplayer is a lot of fun and the new content in version 1.3 is amazing! So amazing that I actually have a new tip that I discovered today.
If you find a good item in a trash can, enter the nearest building, leave, and check the trash can again! This will let you farm that item over and over again, at least until the bug is patched.
