just as a minor life update the weekend i was supposed to have completely off we had to take my mom to the hospital and the next weekend we had to bring her back again. She is okay and will be okay but has to have surgery at the end of this month so things have been crazy
But finally this past weekend i had an actual for real vacation and it was genuinely relaxing for large parts of it even with the extra things we had to do to look after my mom, it was a good trip and i feel SO MUCH BETTER.
final tally of my crazy nonstop busy spring 2026: 15 weeks without a single day off from either work or social obligation taking up most of the day. that is over 100 days in a row
i am tired and i donβt wanna do it again but iβm also very impressed by myself not to sound conceited. A few years ago i would have had a breakdown of some kind dealing with that kind of prolonged stress. i have improved the infrastructure of my life by a Lot and i can handle a lot more now. Yayyyyyy letβs not test out my limits again but yayyy
i have much less scheduled for the rest of the summer soooo iβm hoping to do a lot more lounging around for no reason

Nothin's more annoying than explaining the plot of my story to my mom and every five seconds she's like "Oh is that because of me" No mom I just know how to write plot and character relationships. Just because this certain character doesnt like their mom or has a complicated relationship doesnt mean I'm sitting at my desk rubbing my hands together cackling "Yessss yessssss this is about my evvilllll mother!"
