I am not a man, I am not a woman, I am just a human, a person, maybe even a creature. Though I have somewhat of a connection to masculinity and femininity, I am neither.

just me or did any other enbies feel like stereotypically gendered activities had to be hidden when you were growing up?
Like you had to hide them to avoid being pigeonholed into uncomfortable binary gender stereotypes? Like I felt self conscious about liking Ben 10 and occasionally watching episodes of it here and there at friends houses and playing with the âboys toysâ in elementary school. I also felt self conscious about my intense interest in the Disney fairies movies and strawberry shortcake. Like being afab I didnât want to be seen as a girly girl or a tomboy. I just wanted to be lil ol me who liked a little of everything and was just a kid.
same goes for being given anything gendered that wasnât immediately unisex. Like there where occasions where I had to be given the âboyâ option because there wasnât anything else. That felt weird because I didnât have the words for it but it definitely made me feel like I was going to be pegged as weird for how tomboyish it was. However being given overly âgirlishâ things was too weird too because it felt not like me to be seen as a cis girly girl for my interests.
Being nonbinary and in a relationship with someone who is also nonbinary can feel so isolating when it comes to silly things like memes or text posts. It cuts you out of every post that says âI love it when sheâ âI love it when heâ âgirls are so cute when theyâ cause it could be gay or straight and still not include you or your partner.
i need to stop saying iâm a man just because itâs better than being seen as a woman again. iâm not. iâm just not.
I havenât had even shoulder length hair since 2014-15, but Kattigan has me dying to grow out my mohawk to his length. How do you do long hair in a masculine presenting way with an AFAB face & body? đ

I wish I didn't have the pressure of society trying to make me fit one stupid specific box.
Gender is literally so stupid. All these expectations are put on you at BIRTH and people expect you to fulfill all of them or you are considered less than human by people who are too ignorant to see they've been conditioned to act the way they do their whole lives.
