I felt like I needed to update my introduction post because I have discovered many more games and fell in love with even more books!
📖 As you can see, I read mostly fantasy, romance, and dark romance, but I’ve slowly been dabbling in dystopian. My goal this year is to read more books by BIPOC and dabble more in historical romance and other genres.
🎮 I love cozy games (mostly Farm Ville 3 + Palia right now) and otome games (LADS + MCL). I started playing WoW and I am OBSESSED.
📺 I also love watching fantasy and historical shows. I’m currently watching House of the Dragon S3. I started watching romance shows because of Heated Rivalry and Off Campus! Right now I’m watching The Summer I Turned Pretty when I need something summery and chill to watch 🤗
As for anime, I’ve only ever watched Fruits Basket and The Apothecary Diaries. Please send me your recommendations!
I also started watching kdramas by watching True Beauty and I LOVED it. I need to watch more!
🎨 I haven’t ready many graphic novels, but when I do read them I really enjoy them! I just have too many interests and so little time 🥲
🎵 I started listening to BTS during the pandemic and after KPop Demon Hunter’s I’ve wanted to discover other Kpop bands. If you have a fav, please let me know! I’m still exploring the genre
🖍️ I’ve been more intentional about incorporating some cozy hobies. Right now, I gravitate towards colouring and diamond art. I do acrilyc painting, but would love to learn watercolor too!

it is so important that you are a little bit ugly. please get comfortable with having unplucked eyebrows and nonexistent jawlines and wrinkles. let your blue hair grow out into an uneven pale green and your clothes be old and mend them and modify them until they’re unique to you. wear lipstick which doesnt compliment your skintone and mismatched outfits which went out of fashion 5 years ago. be a little bit too loud and a little bit too passionate and as weird as you can be because oh my god there is nothing more disturbing to me than perfection. beauty is manufactured and sold to us and you need to realise that you are a fucking animal to live a joyful life I am so serious. you cant obsess over aesthetics forever please just live messily and make your body your home however you please.

An unforseen symptom of fatphobia is the rampant, societal belief that since you're fat, you must be eating enough. That no matter how little you eat in a day, in a week, that it must simply be enough.
Zoom in on me, a person having to take a handful of vitamins every day because they're deficient in literally everything because they only eat roughly one(1) meal a day. And yet, I'm still over weight. So it must be enough, right?
Being fat means telling your OBGYN that you're starving for 12 hours a day due to suicidal ideation and an eating disorder, and your OBGYN telling you to keep starving yourself but for "health instead of mood."
Being fat means you can't ever be in line at a food pantry without somebody commenting "How could you be hungry?"
Being fat means being locked out of anorexia recovery by society and by the mental health field itself, to the point that you're not even allowed to be diagnosed with anorexia if you're fat. No, you have "atypical anorexia." Normal anorexics are thin.
Hm? The disorder is literally the exact same minus the fatness? Eating disorders are behavioral disorders, not weight disorders? Yeah, I wish facts mattered too.

Lately I’ve been really into being honest to people about my positive feelings towards them. I told my classmate that I’ve admired her creativity from the start and named a project of hers that I loved, and her face lit up! I took the train with a project partner the other day and told her that I always have so much fun with her, and it prompted an entire conversation about the difficulties of graduating from ‘classmates’ to ‘friends’ and both of our insecurities in this regard (and how we’re definitely getting coffee later). I express my gratitude honestly. I say what I feel if I’d be happy hearing it, myself. I remember details so that I can refer to them later. Once you realize how great you can make someone feel, all of those mundane moments become so special. It will maybe even create some lasting connections, something I think we could all use more of.
This is a great idea. Not just for building friends but for lifting up the people around you! What a wonderful way to interact with the world.

For you, a person just trying to eat 3 + meals a day, nutrition shouldn’t be complicated. However, there’s a reason dietitians need to take chemistry, physiology, organic chem, biochemistry, etc before practicing in the field. In addition to the training they get to learn how to communicate that information in a safe and comprehensible way.
Before you take nutrition advice from someone, it’s always best to check to see if they are qualified to talk about nutrition! 🍋
