propaganda i’m not falling for:
mal oretsev slander
‘kanej isn’t together’ allegations
kaz brekker with blue eyes (sorry mr. carter)
matthias being the ‘least interesting’ crow (there’s not one)
readers who think nina isn’t ever allowed to fall in love again
kuwei as some sort of manipulative villian
shipping nikolina when zoyalai blows every other nikolai ship ever out of the water (except malkolai) (jk) (maybe)
kuzco is missing in twst. i drew kuzco in twst. why is kuzco not in twst. kuzco sexually harrasses half the student pop before realizing after a year that he is attending an all-boys school. he complains but probably gets over it and keeps shooting shots
interracial ships and neither of them are white >>>>
Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev and Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov Shadow and Bone | A Searing Burst of Light

malina (1991) dir. werner schroeter
"The character went through something traumatizing and/or just got out of a abusive situation and there for is not ready to be in a romantic relationship" is such a stupid critism of the ship and I really hate that I keep seeing it pop up more and more.
Like, this could be a legit good critism about how some creators force romance into a story just because they think romance is needed and necessary but 90% of the time when someone argue that a character isn't "ready" for a relationship what they really mean is that they don't like a canon ship and are trying to find a good sounding argument on why the ship is bad. Just say you don't like it, you don't need to justify youself
And what really sucks is that most of the time this argument is used when the traumatized character is a girl. It always "she's been through so much, she shouldn't date anyone, she needs time to figure herself out" as if you couldn't do that while in a relationship and also as if traumatized girls (or anyone tbh) didn't deserved someone they can be vulnerable and at peace with. Makes me wonder, had Tangled came out today, would New Dream be this beloved
With that being said, if this post somehow break containment and any of you try tagging this as Yelena Belova I will personally hunt you down and break your kneecaps
