That’s an interesting question that I’m not really qualified to answer anon. I’m pretty sure I’ve not actually seen either Halle Berry or Christopher de Leon in anything, as I don’t watch a ton of shows or movies these days.

I’m sure they’d each put their own spin on the characters & story, but honestly for me, so much of what makes Osha & Qimir what they are really comes down to Amandla & Manny. Leslye even said she wrote Qimir specifically with Manny in mind after seeing him in “Nine Perfect Strangers”, and that she would’ve had to rewrite the role completely had he not agreed to it. I imagine she approached Osha’s writing & casting with that same intentionality.
