“Why aren’t you fighting?” she laughs.

Spencer breaks their stare. Why isn’t she? What the fuck was wrong with her, just sitting here, not even trying to escape? To get help?

“I…” Spencer begins to speak.

“You what?” Mona takes a step closer to Spencer.

Spencer begins to panic again. Not out of fear, but out of confusion. The adrenaline hits her like a brick.

“I want to join you,” she blurts.

Mona’s eyes perk up and her mouth opens a little.

“Why?” she foolishly asks.

“Because…” Spencer breathes.

Mona kneels down and gently caresses Spencer’s bare arms as they again meet eyes.

“Because you want this?” Mona inquires, softly.

Spencer’s heart skips a beat. She remembers all the horrible things Mona did to her, all the pain and suffering she caused Spencer’s closest friends, but even more intense than the memory is the inexplicably burning desire whose smoke clouds her vision. She swallows.

“Yeah,” she answers.

Mona’s face gradually morphs into a smile. Not a smirk, but a smile so genuine… A smile that tells Spencer, “this is what I’ve always wanted, too.”

Something was wrong with her. Something had to be. But she was dizzy and she felt good inside, so she dared not object.

“Spencer…” Mona coos.

“Mm…”

Mona begins to straddle her, and Spencer obliges, laying herself down properly on the old bed. Mona’s still smiling.

“You want this, Spencer?” Mona asks.

“Yeah,” Spencer eagerly nods. What the fuck?

Mona places a hand behind Spencer’s back and starts to unzip her dress, agonizingly slowly.

“Please, Mona,” she begs.

“Please what?”

“Touch me,” Spencer lets out with a moan-like sigh.

“Maybe I will,” Mona smirks.
