On the right, Iβm βflexingβ. Why am I even comparing these two pictures? To tell you: DO. NOT. BELIEVE. EVERYTHING. YOU. SEE. ON. SOCIAL. MEDIA. Most of the people you aspire to look like put themselves in perfect lighting, positioning, and filters to achieve a certain look. Most of the time, it is unrealistic to the general population. Aspirations are cool, but unrealistic expectations of yourself can be detrimental. There are a LOT of reasons the scale may have gone up for you-lack of sleep, increased sodium, weight training, sickness, etc. Donβt be so hard on yourself π€·π»ββοΈ Start with one small change-water instead of soda, an extra serving of vegetables per day, a 15 minute walk, etc.-and over time these small changes will lend themselves to bigger ones.
