Zuko Plot 177: Terrible Taste
Sokka has amazing taste in women, but unfortunately terrible taste in men. He realizes this quickly upon first meeting Jet, and despite his instincts telling him to be wary, he falls for the jerk almost easier than his sister did! At least Sokka was good at putting up a front of loathing there, Katara never guessed a thing, but Jet did.
It almost hurts when, in the end, Jet tried to have him killed off. But Sokka berates himself because he knew Jet had been bad news! Stupid teenage hormones!
After leaving the forests of Gaipan, Sokka lets the experience fall out of his mind, and he nearly succeeds in forgetting until they encounter Zuko in the Earth Kingdom and Sokka has the stupidest thought while they flee that, with hair, Zuko was actually unfairly attractive.
When he encounters Jet again in Ba Sing Se, Sokka is NOT in the mood to confront his mixed feelings for the Freedom Fighter. This is made even worse by the fact that not only is Jet here, but so is ZUKO! And they're DATING!? But Zuko's a FIREBender!
Jet tenses up at that but clearly the two had already been over this many times and come to the conclusion to stay together anyway! What a world! Now both of Sokka's crushes are being all annoyingly TOGETHER, and Aang is letting them JOIN THE GAANG, and Now Sokka has to suffer seeing the two most attractive people he knows being… Themselves! But TOGETHER! AUGH! The green eyed monster has Sokka in a choke hold.
