I think I’m gonna write an atla fanfic where everyone in the gaang gets paired of with a minor character. Zuko? There’s Jin right there, the cutest girl in Ba Sing Se. Katara? Obviously Haru, half the fandom was FERAL about that man for a while there. Sokka? Okay, I cannot in good faith separate him from Suki UNLESS I keep Yue alive and then have Suki paired off with a hot (or adorable) lesbian. Aang? There are so many people, but it would be so cool if he was with a non-bender. Like Jet. It would be toxic as hell and a very bumpy ride, but boy would it be interesting… and then Toph would be mad about being the ONLY one in the group to not have had a deep tension with the guy. Speaking of Toph. Yeah it’s from the comics but that engineer guy working for her dad. They were perfect together.
Actually maybe I should just write a fanfic where Jet is like the gaang’s wife. He has a harem and that harem is the gaang. He had deep romantic/sexual tension with half of them already.

I love this playing the shipping-matchmaking game and twisting everything around. And yes, Rufftoon never said Who is match ed with who.
But My theories are:
Aang/Azula (his expression says all)
Katara/Haru (impressed but not so much)
Sokka/Ozai (Sorry but I don't see other reasons to cause a stroke)
Toph/Aang (the Kyoshi Island's guy prove it)
Zuko/Azula (Sorry for the Prophetess Grey DeLisle and her followers, but this would be the only reaction by Canon Zuzu to Zucest )
Iroh/Ty Lee (he's a good man After all, and clearly he will never approve a similar thing)
Ty Lee/Sokka (I remember this Truth. "CUTIEE!")
Mai/everyone Who isn't Zuko (Well, It's believable)
Azula/Haru (It could explain her embarassed and confused expression as "Who the hell is this guy?")
You know, It's funny that nobody remember Lo and Li (the two old ladies at the bottom, Azula's counsellors), and I understand normal fans (they forget that Ty Lee was attracted to Sokka, and they prefer shipping them with Azula, a respectable choice but they pratically prefer a crackship to a real Canon love interest, that It was one-sided but It happened, a thing that I will never understand), but had the same two principal authors forgotten their existence?
I feel like the one thing all people who ship Katara with someone should know is that Katara is always the dominant partner in every relationship.
Kataang? Aang is a pacifist who shouts from the sidelines as his girlfriend beats up their enemies.
Zutara? Just look at Zuko’s face in The Southern Raiders when Katara bends that bubble of air around Appa’s head. It’s totally “wow that woman is so scary and beautiful.”
Azutara? Basically Azula going “why does this water tribe peasant keep beating me I have to figure it out”
Yuetara? C’mon.
Harutara? You have to be joking.
Literally the only ships I can think of where Katara wouldn’t exclusively dom are Sukitara and Katoph, and those are just because Toph and Suki are also doms.
