Is this because I slept last night, I'm fumbling with words and it's getting darker still.

So lets translate that name.

Kuroyuri translates to black lily.

From a narrative standpoint color black represents power, strength, and intimidation. Though it has a duality to it, black also represents sadness, grief, and emptiness. I’m going to keep that in mind while a watch the episode.

So, when they enter Kuroyuri it’s honestly pretty awesome to hear some Yamaoka inspired music. If Jeff Williams has never heard a single song from the Silent Hill soundtrack, well, he’s using dissonance fairly well to set the mood of the scene. This is immediately after Ozpin told Oscar, and through the use of the narrative, the audience, to be on guard.

So, what I’ve started seeing is that people have been picking on Jaune because his views change quite often. Well, people change, and in the situation they’re in, view points will change fast. The night before Jaune was berating Qrow because, like anybody else would, he needed to find something to blame Pyrrha’s death on that wasn’t Pyrrha’s own over confidence and bravado. He was angry and confused, like literally anybody could. But in this episode he’s trying to save the life of a person he doesn’t like. He respects Ruby, as he always has, this whole thing isn’t news and it shouldn’t be to the people who put down their phones while watching the show. His character isn’t the opposite of what it was at the beginning of the season, he’s just changed a bit like a normal human does. This entire volume is about change.

Though something leads me to believe that Ozpin was actually planning for Pyrrha to die and that’s why he didn’t have Qrow in the room with them, it’s so that Cinder could become the Fall Maiden because she’d be the most easily persuaded of Salem’s team. He needed to have somebody who could gain Salem’s trust.

The new Grimm Rider is pretty awesome. I like how we haven’t seen it and they’re going to ruin what makes it legitimately scary by showing it in full next episode, aren’t they?
