Johnny: What are the chances of a girl like you and a guy like me ending up together?
Y/N: Not good.

Y/N: I'd say more like one in a million.

Inspired by Jessie's recent story: Piano
Day 1: Piano
There is a grand piano sitting in the corner of the General’s private sitting room, far away from the fireplace and the comfortable upholstered chairs, the bookshelves and the bar cart, almost as if it’s forgotten. It looks old, too, the paint chipped in some places, the carving on the legs old-fashioned.
It intrigues her, especially since she never sees it open—never sees it being used—, and the General does not seem like a kind of man who keeps things that do not serve a purpose.
Then one day, as they sit in front of the roaring fire, sipping tea from cups that are too fine to be real, she gathers all of her courage and asks: “Do you… do you play?”
The fleeting look he gives the piano holds a heartbreaking kind of longing. “Not in a long time.”
“Why?”
He doesn’t answer right away, just stares at the dancing flames, and while the silence that fills the void is heavy, somehow it is not ominous. “It’s just… Music is beauty. It’s joy. It’s life itself. It’s hard to play when the world is crumbling around you. But…” He suddenly looks at her, and there it is that same longing in his eyes again. “...I have a feeling I might be playing again soon.”
🍂 Prompt: Acorns 🍂 Synopsis: [Post-canon, 4th Age, Middle-earth] Curumo is still adjusting to his new body. Aiwendil does what he can to help. 🍂 Warnings: / 🍂 Triple drabble
AN: A gift to @i-did-not-mean-to because I wrote sad Curuwendil last time. Based on these headcanons, but the TLDR is that Aiwendil picked up poor Curumo after his wizard hröa was destroyed and - since he doesn't have the power to restore him fully - decided to turn him into a hedgehog that he now keeps as a pet.
"Curumo?"
Aiwendil reached into the basket filled with freshly gathered acorns, only to be met with a hiss – which sounded more like a sneeze and not at all dangerous – and raised spines. It seemed as though his Maiarin companion was finally adjusting to his new form and even enjoyed exploring and eating, though he was certain this particular meal might be a little too much; these acorns were supposed to last for several days.
Despite Curumo's best efforts to hide, Aiwendil scooped up the little hedgehog in his hands and walked over to his armchair to sit down.
"You've taken a liking to acorns, hm?" he chuckled.
Curumo continued to sniffle angrily and curled up, refusing to face the other Maia.
"It's alright to get comfortable with this new shape of yours," Aiwendil said, carefully rolled him on his back and reached out with his index finger to give his nose a gentle, playful boop. "You know you'll have to stay like this for a while. I'm sorry I can't restore you fully or give you anything better, but maybe you can enjoy yourself a bit? Let loose and have fun?"
A few acorns had fallen out of the basket when he had fished out his companion, and Aiwendil picked one up, an apologetic smile on his face. Curumo uncurled just enough to sniff it, then decided to accept the treat.
"They're for you if you want them, but you can't eat all of them at once or you'll get sick," Aiwendil said.
Curumo still didn't deign to respond via ósanwë, but it seemed as though he understood. Smiling, Aiwendil placed a handful of acorns on his lap and watched him eat. It wasn't always easy, being stuck in incarnate forms as Maiar, having failed their mission and wondering if they had been forsaken by their peers and their lord and lady at home, but it was in moments like these that he was calm and felt like everything would be well in the end.

The Lady with the Dog
Doppo Kunikida x Fem! Reader
I know I usually write all of my reader's gender neutral, but for the sake of this stories plot, it would make sense if they were female. I am sorry if your male and like to read my works, or just flat out don't identify as a girl.
Trigger Warning: Cheating/infidelity, Slight Angst
Kunikida had his own plans for the future set down to the second, and he had no time for hiccups. He didn't have the time to be glancing at you across the park with your Shiba Inu. A precious thing, curled perfectly by the curve of your him on the wooden bench you sat on. Scrunching your nimble fingers into the soft flash and fur of your darling creature sitting next to you giving them a glorious ear scratch.
It wasn't built into his schedule to go over to introduce himself to you, heck, he shouldn't be walking over to introduce himself to your right now he has a wife for heavens sake! He shouldn't he exploiting your cute baby as an excuse to go talk to you, but when he did, he realized that he was more happy with you than he ever was in all the seconds combined with his wife. She was perfect for his high standards, but the entirety of his relationship with her felt forced on my his own mental standards. The arrangement wasn't out of love, it was out of perfectionality, punctualty, and poise, not the endeavors of the heart that not even he could escape from.
You wish you could look at your dog with eyes filled with true happiness, not the happy eyes clouded with regret and melancholy. You were young, but you strove for stability too quickly, and ended up hurting yourself even more than you were on the streets. You could manipulate any man you wanted to get what you want, brainwash them, through a simple conversation. Bat your eyelashes, smile, be a good host, what else could the Ango Sakaguchi want for a wife? It may seen perfect to the outside viewer, the work parties you parade to around his arm, you working along with him, seemingly being two star crossed lovers every single moment, but it was all fake. All of it. You don't believe you ever held an ounce of love towards the man you were married to, you didn't use your abilty to get what you wanted from him, the reason the two of you were contracted to each other was simply because you excepted his ring for stability.
Both of you knew the look in each other's eyes. The look of discontent, and fake happiness that you force onto yourselves because you think that it will benefit yourselves in the long run. The look of lying to yourselves about your current state of life. Not getting divorces because your scared of the uncertainty and instability that might follow that action. Both of you were scared, but quite frankly both of you were also cowards in the own situations that you created. It wasn't fair for the four of you. The two of you knew that. But it still didn't stop the punctual poet connecting his lips to yours in the bedroom he usually shared when she was away, and he was gone. Both of you knew it was wrong.
Note: I do not condone the actions infidelity, but I do recognize that people are actually human beings. My message, please don't cheat on your partners, it hurts really badly. End the relationship first, and don't play with peoples feelings it's not good.
Graffiti and music
I strapped on my black and green roller blades before starting up my rhythm on the cement, testing a few tricks as well before I was tossed my green spray paint.
"Ready for your first day?" Beat asked, I gave a thumbs up in response before shaking up the can.
"Course I am." I said with a smirk before I was led away from the base Beat and his friends had found, he had a can of red spray paint in hand.
"I'm sure you already know the risks of doing stuff like this." Beat said before leaping onto a rail, I hopped on, grinding down the metal with ease.
"Yep, I know that the chances of being thrown into jail is a bit higher than before." I said before hopping up onto one of the window ledges and dropping down onto one of the fabric parapets before landing.
"Yeah, real shame to." Beat said before coming to a halt and tagging one of the slightly crumbling brick walls.
"Agreed, took me four years to get into your gang and now the rest of them are in jail." I said before hopping up onto the hood of the low down Ferrari and sliding down, speed still retained.
"Want to listen to some music?" Jet asked before taking a sharp turn, I had to take a wider turn to get into the narrow alley.
"Sure." I said in response before pulling down my goggles, tinted green and shaped like ski goggles, with a black frame, a bittersweet memory flashed across my line of sight whenever I wore them.
"Awesome, what do you want to listen to?" Beat asked before coming to a halt and leaning up against a truck, I tagged the moving van.
"Thunder and lightning or it's bedtime." I said before pulling down the can and admiring my horrendous work.
"Alright, I'll turn on thunder and lightning, lets go before the authorities get us." Beat said as he pulled out his speaker and scrolled down the small playlist he had before turning on thunder and lightning.
"Agreed, c'mon." I said before dashing ahead of Beat but staying close enough to hear the music as we skated across the streets.
"Maybe we'll find one of my friends." Beat said before pulling out his can and spraying a streak of red across one of the buildings, I tagged the next car I saw before realizing I had messed up.
"Hey! Get back here!" One of the Rokkako shouted towards me as they chased after me, for once I'm glad I wore my black hooded suit and pants instead of a baggy hoodie and shorts.
"Yeah kid! We don't want to hurt you!" Another shouted before I lurched backwards, I turned to see who had grabbed me before spraying them with the neon green and dashing away as fast as I could.
First day on the town and I mess up.
Lucci x reader - pocky game
Giveaway prize for @kaizokuwritings Female reader No warnings!
You looked at the little carton of chocolates in your hands, giggling a bit about the little plan you had come up with. Many people had told you of this little game they played with their lovers and how it always ended up with a nice ending, one way or another. Laughter, kisses, cuddles, sometimes even more than that. To you, any of these results would have been fine. Lucci wasn’t the most romantic or affectionate man, you knew this from the start when you became his girlfriend, but that didn’t mean you didn’t want some affection every now and then.
Lucci wasn’t hard to find. Whenever he was home, he was sitting in the living room on his armchair. He had nothing left to do for the day, so he had grabbed a glass of wine and was currently reading a book. When you entered the room, he didn’t even look up, though you knew he heard you enter.
“Lucci?” “Yes?” “Do you want to play the pocky game?” Lucci raised an eyebrow at the question, marked the page in his book and closed it. “The pocky game?” “Yes! It’s kind of like a game of chicken. We take the pocky stick, we both start biting at one end and the person who turns their head away first loses.” “You’re challenging me to a game of chicken? Are you sure you want to do this, Y/N?” “Yes!” Lucci sighed and put his book away. “Very well, I’ll indulge you. Come here.”
Lucci didn’t get up from his chair, so you grabbed a pocky stick, put one end in your mouth, placed your hands on the arms of the chair and leaned in. There was a little glint in his eyes as Lucci bit the other end, one you couldn’t quite place. The both of you started working towards each other with Lucci staring you in the eye. He seemed to be amused by this little game and the amusement seemed to grow with each bite. You, on the other hand, could feel your cheeks heating up more and more with every bite. His amusement was probably connected to that, you figured.
When your lips were about to meet, Lucci’s shot up to your waist, pulling you down on his lap. You yelped at the sudden movement and realised what that little glint in his eyes was earlier, he had planned this from the start. Lucci took advantage of your surprise to turn the little game into a hungry kiss, staring into your eyes with a little grin the whole time.
Once he broke the kiss, you hid your face in his chest. Lucci chuckled at your actions.
“If you wanted a kiss, you could’ve just said so, Y/N. Though I have to admit, this was a rather amusing way of going about it.”
You kept your face buried in his chest, too embarrassed to look up, as Lucci grabbed his book again and continued to read with you on his lap.
